  1. Last minute hedgetrimming today. Havnt done any since September as the ground conditions were not too good. Now we have had a couple of cold dry weeks or so I can just go round and doba few tops steadily. I'm leaving the sides so as to not traffic the ground too much. 698T on the job of course
  2. Depends if it needs unloading first, Bill. Last thing anyone wants is the load coming out the side when it comes over on to its wheels again. Still, from what we've seen of Hough Green I'd say they are more than geared up to sort this job out without any fuss. Looks like a first class outfit. Handy number plate for the company too.
  3. I end up watching stuff like that if it is on else TV is a complete bore with the stuff on it nowadays. That said, I rarely watch Countryfile!
  4. A constructive meeting yesterday to line up a switch over from one mortgage provider to another resulting in a £50 saving each month, 2% less interest and 5yrs cut off the length of our term. Oh and £500 cash back when it changes over in July. Mint. Then, on the way home we stopped at Tracis uncles place yesterday and he gave me another Scania jacket the same as he got me a few years ago but the zip broke in mine so I wear it for work only. Warmest jacket I have ever had so glad I got another one for smart. Oh and may have made a work contact last night too! Top weekend all round. The things you can get done on a day off!!
  5. Bloody hell, Jan... There are other ways to get a weekend off you know!! Well yesterday was a day of mortgage reviewing, visiting and then out to an NSPCC charity evening which included a band, DJ and fish and chip supper. A few ciders and a silent auction. Today is dog walking, shopping, get the old van listed for sale and an afternoon chilled out hopefully drawing up a plan of my model farmhouse, done some sketches.
  6. God, I bet the office turned into a hornets nest didn't it, Mike?! Everyday's a new day at Hough Green by the looks of it. Every time Sally or Lynn mention a crash in the north west, I think of you guys. Oh are you watching Winter Road Rescue?
  7. Oh just stop.... Oh its no good.... Pahahaaaaa...... Nagging!! Wooooohooooooo! I'm here all week! What do you mean it's Friday tomorrow?
  8. ..... and on top of that, a 3.30 finish! Lasagne in the oven, wine corked and now out with Zia. Only just got dark properly too. Oh and before anyone says it..... Not a flipping processed lasagne either, none of that muck...... Wouldn't want to end up in..... Wait for it, this is a goodun..... Ready? HORSPITAL!!! Oh my days! :ha ha!: Oh.... Just me then?
  9. Not a chance. Got a fee evening and what am I doing? Yep, you guessed it.... Sweet FA!!
  10. :ha ha!: Barry, you're such a child! Happy Birthday Brian, any green and yellow presents to speak of?
  11. Indeed. A farmhouse with detached garage and gardens but I really must attempt some scratch builds, chiefly the JCB at work and the Palax machine too. See you in 2020!!
  12. Loving the Ford/Bunning outfit me old mate
  13. Thanks Pat, I'll get around to it one day. I've wanted to for ages but even getting time for one hobby is hard enough! Harry, you got a busy old time ahead mate!
  14. Walked Zia, made scrambled eggs, now watching Winter Road Rescue. Off to Dads for a casserole later, another dog walk and then going to start some plans for a model farm house
