  1. No its the real deal. Is on the Britains website
  2. Looks like it needs some attention before released
  3. Exhaust has been moved to breather side and one slight colour change is all I can see.
  4. Yeh it's a good point to make, as far as I know, they don't have the facility to do it at the moment.
  5. Yes thats why I was a little confused, Ive managed to find one light blue, but like you say it is in a pre war box version. \
  6. We have managed to get the box slightly better, amazing what gluing can do! Waiting on a new cabinet now so we can put it on proper display, so no we wont be selling it
  7. With the 146F set we purchased, there was a 5F set too, I assume this colour is slightly rarer than the green that we normally see with this set, does anyone know why or how long it was done in this colour? I know of the following variations now, if you know of any more please add them! Green Khaki green dark blue light blue white / cream Cheers Andy
  8. Does anyone know the dates for the above set, containing gordon highlanders. Purchased it a while back but can find no reference to it in books I have. Thanks Andy
  9. I spoke to Britains about the US / UK price issue. A big factor in their case is import duty. They pay huge sums on items they bring in which pushes the price up compared to the US avoiding this charge. Sometimes also price spent on the item has an affect, i.e the large RC john deere model, to get it to the UK, RC2 had to make some substantial changes from the US version to make it legally safe here, which makes it more expensive to buy.
  10. Wouldnt call it rare, perhaps slightly obselete, I've come accross several at toy fairs.
  11. Its just a case of being in the right place at the right time. 9 times out of 10, that stupid joe bloggs person is in the spot, but this time around we were lucky!
  12. As the new massey combine starts to reinforce dealer's stock rooms and stores, the commencement of the second round of price wars begins. We all saw with the Fordson Power Major, the effects of mass distribution within the UK model dealer community, with some models being offered for barely much more more than trade, and the same is set to occur with the magnificent massey combine. I have already seen this highly anticipated model changing hands for a tiny ?37.50, a whopping ?12.50 less than the RRP and it's only just come into stock! I know some people can afford to drop prices to sweep the market and competiveness can only be good for the consumer but the question is......Can the industry continue to thrive in such a hostile and fluctuated market or should prices be frozen?
  13. Fordsons are original but, I have replaced the ones that I had in the set originally. Didnt realise people were prepared to pay quite that much! I wont say how much I paid then in the fear of giving your mate a heart attack! Deary me!
  14. Mint and Boxed, you would struggle to pick it up from ebay / vectis for less than a grand. I think one sold in a restored box for ?1100 late last year.
  15. As mentioned in another post, managed to pick this set up last week. The box is quite poor and we are currently trying to repair it. 146F, Contains 2 x DDN's, Log Trailer, Tipper Trailer, Rolls, Plough, Timber Trailer, 2 x Drivers and a pair of discs The set can contain 2 x E27N's as it was a transition set from set 134F Regardless of the condition of the box, we are still chuffed to bits with the find and its a relief to avoid paying "vectis / ebay" type prices for it!
  16. Better copyright this then
  17. We are talking about a potential very high value item so dont think I trust myself with that, will end up stuck to my ear or something!
  18. Ive just purchased a Britains 146F tractor and implement set, the box however needs some attention. Does anyone know of an individual whom specialises in box repair and restoration? Thanks Andy
  19. I think we may be seeing some new Land Rovers based on that new revised casting in the not too distant future.
