  1. Replace the word 'best' for 'worst' and that would be bang on!!! My favourite would have to be the MF 595/90. Like others on here it was my first. Running closely behind would be the Deutz DX 110 as that was my second, as a youngster.
  2. Had to repaint them/it because finding two the same would just be too easy!!! Thought about that but my technical ability wouldn't let the grey matter fathom out the best way to do the folding draw bar. The markers i did fathom out but after dropping it the first time i was never going to get it to the stage where it would warrent the extra detail/time 9which i don't have a lot of. Thanks for all your kind comments. Andy
  3. Been converted more times than anything else i should think but i had a couple of spares knocking about sooo... Ihave made this to fit a four metres in scale. Mighty difficult (for me anyway) to get the third and two thirds to marry up without too much of a visible join - especially as i dropped it twice!! I also wanted to keep it fairly toy like as it goes better with the Britains of the time. Its all down hill now as i have started tinkering!!!!
  4. Put your tyres on with the rim at the front then you shouldn't damage them - theoretically!
  5. I think your'e right i am between Diss and Bury St Eds, but tend to work over most of north Suffolk
  6. Ditto the cracking day in Suffolk. Was landing up at home today and saw the Sentry Class Xerion at work in the field next to my house. Unfortunatly camara has no batteries!!!
  7. According to the last one I had the next one was due 30th August. Bearing in mind the new publisher etc., etc. giving that, that was three weeks ago it ought to be here by now I'd have thought?
  8. Can anyone help?? I would like to know if any warning decals like those that appear on models nowadays can be aquired as 'spares' or would it be best to try and create some, if so where from and how to? Thanks, Andy
  9. Thanks very much Andy you must have a veritable encyclopedia in that grey matter!!!
  10. Picked this up at a car boot today. It is badged as a Ford and looking at the styling it is either american influenced or the style of the 9000. There is no makers mark, i was wondering if it was one or those that was a give away maybe in a cereal packet ot similar??? The image is rubbish i think because the batteries on my camara have just given up.
  11. If my memory serves white but don't take that for definate.
  12. Don't know if i have the tractor number right but how much are these worth and were there many made??
  13. Thankyou guys that has probably saved me a small fortune (bearing in mind i have to but my own birthday presents the the wife wraps them up!!!)
  14. With another year in my life soon coming to an end it is time to prime the wife into actually getting what i would like rather than the clothes that she thinks i need! I have always needed an air brush to improve paint finishes. I would welcome comment on the best type for a novice like me. Thanks, Andy
  15. Saw an anomolly today in that a Farmer + plinth had 6920S on it with a 6920 tractor in it, also a different design box with a mirrored back. Has anyone seen this, or is it one of those odd mix ups that happens occasionally? Did Siku do a 6920S in this case?
  16. I was reading Farm and Site for the umpteenth time and the article on Britains trailers, inparticular the mini trailer. It says in the list that the olive green colour was only issued in 1995 and had olive green wheels. The one i have has beige wheels. Is this a rarity or just another variation on a theme - as there were no doubt a shed load made. I know an obscure question but where better to ask?
  17. The one iused many moons ago was a cooke one. It didn't have anthing - spike etc - on the bottom or underneath the stack . What it did have is extra bars on the bottom/back of the sides the pinch the bales in more than the rest of the sides, so (if have totally confused you) the bottom layer of the stack was held tighter than the rest. I remember them riding well when loaded but like a bone shaker when empty. These were a real boon when they came out because prior to that we had to hand ball the bales onto an artic then hand ball them into the shed. Once these came out they came from the field in 56's or 48's for hay, then were lifted into the shed by a duplicate attatchment for the fork-lift - a lot easier. However we were expected to do more!!!!!
  18. Spoke to my local dealer yesterday seeing as they had a Diamond CX105 in the yard. The chap at McCormick who would know if there is to be a special is away until the end of the month so no answer available. He did say that there has been a lot of interest in a model were it to be produced - and that is from just one dealership, so who knows.
