What's your latest farm/Construction buy in 2022
CX820Joe replied to Tractorman810's topic in General Hobby Discussion
I've decided not to keep the Black Deutz Warrior due to its sticky tyre problem, and have bought this as the prime mover instead. -

Was going to take some close ups of the Deutz, noticed when I removed it from the box though that the tyres felt very sticky. Had them off and washed them in hot soapy water, still feel quite sticky, perhaps not so bad though. Probably isn't cause to send it back (was the last one anyway) so maybe will just have to put up with it. -

I will take some close up pictures when it comes out of the box Phil, I will have a reshuffle of my display shortly. -

There is a pin for the drawbar on this one...I had seen a few pictures of it (and the related Same etc) with the front weight sitting on the floor but it holds up OK on mine. I had thought it too expensive but the price had dropped to 55 something which I thought was more reasonable, and although I've had the aforementioned issues with Ros models previously am very pleased with this release. I am tempted by the Same too, thought I'd quite like the lower Hp Virtus that UH did preferably. -

This has just turned up, was expecting it tomorrow so was surprised to get a text saying it was due today. Its a Ros model, and have had a few bad experiences with their models in the past but I am happy to say this one is fine...there was a small globe shaped piece floating around in the box but I don't know where it is from! It's a shame about the tyres, but all in all a decent little model. -

I was considering getting one of those Arions but put off by the lack of an updated bonnet. I probably shouldn't be so picky but it's a very noticeable feature I think. -

I was thinking about getting it too, it looks very impressive but remember how lightweight/fragile the 870 I had was, so not so bothered about it now.

I decided to finally get a Britain's Valtra, to see what they are like. It's not the worst model and whilst the Wiking is of course finer detailed, this one looks more like the ones I've seen - rear mudguards look right, and it has the rear spotlights which are absent from the Wiking. I plan to see which decent parts i can salvage off a Ros N174, I will get rid of the front hitch and try and add something like the red tractor in attached picture. -

Be keen to know what you think of it quality wise Phil. I had the older version and wasn't very impressed though I do think it looks amazing with those big wheels -

After all of them except the roller, so good to see them reappearing.

I wonder what the 43309 'New Valtra Tractor' will be? T5?
-
Excellent, I wouldn't mind getting the plough again and the NC spreader...I wonder if it will be a different colour?

I had that plough but found it awkward to display behind a tractor properly (Wiking Fendt 936) though it was more to do with the plough frame than the hitch, that was fine. Should fit a Marge linkage I'd imagine. Nearly through January and no new purchases for me so far...nothing shouting out at me at all. -
Hopefully will get a 956 or 2 this time around

It's a great improvement Phil, looks to be doing OK at the moment. -
I am not the world's biggest JD fan, but I must put some pennies aside for the 8400!

It does look good Phil, do the wheel weights come off? -
That's there at the bottom of the list, an 8950. There was a Facebook poll of which old model people would like to see retooled and it won. I am keen to see what it will be like, those larger frame Valmet/Valtra of that era are a fair gap in the line up

Show postponed, no surprise really. I wonder if there were any surprises being held till it happened which may still turn up?

Your farm model highlights of the year!
CX820Joe replied to Stabliofarmer's topic in General Hobby Discussion
I'd have to agree with Ben on the Marge Lexion as my model release of the year. I wasn't going to get one, but the 'smaller' 6800 with 930 is just the job for my fleet. Also was very glad to get a Challenger Rogator sprayer this year which I'd hankered after for some time. I was impressed with the Britain's Claas Xerion as well - I didn't keep it as I bought a UH 3800, but that went missing so ended up without a Xerion. May get the Wiking one next year?
