  1. Sorry you had to sell your collection off Nige, am keeping OK ta
  2. This is happening far too often, there has been talk of manufacturers integrating the GPS in cab roofs though if your not on a big scale and swap Trimble (for example) between tractors integrated systems no good. Hopefully some method of making the units difficult to steal will be thought of. I did read of a contractor who tracked down the thief who nicked the GPS off his fleet and recovered them.
  3. I think Jason (Farmer Palmer) has been selling some of his stuff on Ebay recently. Marky is active on facebook still. Miss those characters and the banter
  4. On holiday in Norfolk and there is a surprising amount of wheat still left to do, have seen plenty of combines today, mainly Claas, including a Lexion 620, Dominator 118, also saw an NH CR8.80 and a CX of some description, and a John Deere T 560?, and an older one, possibly 955 or 970. There is a farm near where we are staying (Limpenhoe) which seems to have finished harvest, their Lexion 740 is parked in a field near the farm. Stopped at Happisburgh and could see a John Deere 2x50 and an MF 35X and a Deutz with a loader.
  5. Massey 590 which came to pick up a trailer at the place where we've come on Holiday (Norfolk)
  6. They are a bit Diddy aren't they?
  7. A few from South Shropshire today
  8. Is silver paint the best way to weather the shares on a plough? I used to have some adhesive chrome stuff, not sure if you could still get it and whether it would be fiddly to stick on .
  9. I bought some sort of manual for the MF Delta combine to try and make something better out of the Siku model....I didn't get on very well though! I'd like to find another of those combines one day and have a go at improving it though If I did I think I'd be a few decades/centuries away from your standards John 😆
  10. I thought I'd bid on this as pay day looms, thankfully I noticed the postage cost before I did! It's a heavy model but not that heavy!
  11. That seems like a hell of a machine, it would be great to see it up against the biggest Claas, New Holland and Agco Ideal in a field test, though I doubt that would happen. If its as good as the fella in the clip says it could cause Claas some headaches. As regards the model version forthcoming - Ertl/Britains have always caught the look of JD combines well, they are let down by having permanently open grain tanks. Even a set up like the USK Deutz with swappable lids would be something. But I agree - a model to the same standard as the 8RX would be great. Perhaps Wiking will do it though, as Marge have nicked the Claas combines off them.
  12. Definitely agree someone should do the Mega 8000 series. I haven't bothered with the Britain's Valtra T, despite it having more accurate rear mudguards than the Wiking. No point mentioning the useless front linkage though maybe the forthcoming front mower will fit it!
  13. I'd like a generation 1 900 without the wheel weights and badged as something else like a 924. They have gone a model down with the gen 2 and 3 so its not impossible. I'm surprised they haven't done the 1980s Favorit 600 as well as that wouldn't be too different from current model. Surely the larger frame Farmer 310/311 is crying out to be modelled as well (with Weise the obvious choice to do it)
  14. Wonderful work John. Only ever saw one Ransomes combine, derelict at a farm, and that was a 902.
  15. If a 2wd Ford 6410 can do it (as per Farming with Ford DVD) I'm sure 120hp is ample!
  16. They mention 100 randomly scattered gold editions here but nothing else
  17. A couple of small Replicagri implements arrived today which I ordered a while ago. I have bought another Nodet pneumatic spreader despite selling the old one. I found it a pain to attach to tractors so sold the first one, but that aside it's a really great model and once again I've discovered what a faff it is to attach it to a tractor but I think it suits the little Valtra C, although sits a little too far back. I may try and sit it on the Valtra A though the top link on that tractor is rather chunky. I've filed it down so I can attach the other implement, a small link box.
  18. Very nice work Phil, I'm surprised there hasnt been an updated T5 announced as yet. Your lovely green T163 isnt minus its wheels now though is it? 😆
  19. Another re release from Britain's announced on their Facebook page, not sure if this has been mentioned previously? Photo courtesy of their page.
  20. The link arms don't look wide enough Phil, it was my plan to put it on that tractor. Then I thought the T3 but that is in its box again whilst we are in some upheaval having a new floor put down.
  21. The new slogan 'Fits your Farm' is already annoying me. I don't think it would fit your farm if you grew 4000 acres and needed a big Lexion.
