  1. Not as bad as Wiking, the rears rims on their JD7310 are 46mm🤣.........thats an R57!!!!
  2. Even my JD figurines know a special tractor when they see one 😄
  3. I took the Valtra out of its box today, very nice, only two minor complaints, both rectifiable. I don't know why UH went with the 6 pillar cab when 90% of N & T tractors have the 5 pillar with the smart big panoramic window to the drivers right hand side. And the black rims are matt and not gloss. Also one front wheel seizes a little when reversing but I will have to remove the wheels to spray them anyway so no problem. I bought a secondhand Amazone Catros to go with my Masseys on the layout, but it does look good behind the Valtra too😎
  4. 35mm works out at an R44 rim although 34mm is a R42 so the Valtra is as near as dammit scalewise. The MF 8S on the other hand at 39mm works out at R49!!!!!! Doesn't exist, even remotely. Someone at UH had a bad day when they went with that oversizing.
  5. The 8S E power & Dyna 7 came out first Joe, neither of them had that written on the bonnet. E power is akin to a cars automatic gearbox, not quite the full CVT. Check this video, it has a special edition 8S 305 with metallic massey red paint and black rims, looks really nice.
  6. Its a pity UH didnt put those Valtra Q rear wheels and tyres on the 8S from the word go James. They appear to be the same rims and tyres on the front, and after all the Q and the 8S share the same chassis. I found myself driving behind an 8S earlier this week that I didnt know the farmer had bought one off, it was covered head to toe in sprayed on mud, really looked the part. And that neat horizontal flashing fender indicator (like on Audi cars) is really cool too😎 And look at this 8S.265 sitting in TNS yard on huge boots🤩
  7. You just need the MF logo on the radiator grill to finish her off Hugh. We had a mint condition 3635 in the village last week hauling a mini digger, really nice to see one of the 3600s.
  8. The all white and the matt black were sold at shows before xmas Paul. Smithy got one of the black ones. I think Toys Farm have got some in stock. When you know theres probably another 6 or more colour variations coming I think I will just wait and see whats next. The green and grey ones are selling very fast apparently.
  9. Not surprised they are selling so fast, I think UH have been smart with ltd numbers as they can always do a second edition of the most popular seller.
  10. Its a very nice model Joe, although not as good as the UH original. Certainly a bargain for under a £100. But there is no indication as to who builds them? Not UH or ROS. Folds up neatly too.
  11. Just got mine delivered, very pleased with it. I went for grey as there are plenty of the grey T series models around these parts and this Titanium colour looks very similar. Only seen the nice green version in dealer yards so far but Im sure it will become popular. Which colours next? Red, blue or maybe that fancy orange one 🙃
  12. Why not just buy a Vaddy drill off their website, they are only £89 and that includes super fast free post!!😎
  13. Failing that the UH version is due this summer.
  14. Liking that New Holland Baler Smithy, looks nice with the extra yellow parts on it. Nice choices Joe, my "Q" is due tomorrow, and saw another 8S on my patch today which I wasn't aware of, they are starting to be a bit less rare😎
  15. Our contractor has been concentrating on injecting and spreading slurry on a variety of crops with our two tankers. Their other frontline tractor the 7726S finished its hedgecutting campaign and has now begun spreading fertilizer, before joining the Fendt 700 digestate delivery team. Bill Legge also brought over one of his refurbished classic MFs, a 2003 MF 8220 which has been used on a set of rolls behind the Vaderstad drill. He also has a newly refurbished 7495 tractor which will be lending a hand as we enter maize drilling as soon as the weather changes. We drilled around a 1000 acres of cereals in between the showers and will try and finish the rest this week. We attended two events last week, an evening presentation on the new Fendt 700s and a daytime demo of the new Valtra Qs. Both machines were very impressive, not least the price of a 728 Fendt which was eye watering and 20k more than the Valtra Q305, and also 25 hp less at rated power! I don't rule out having a new Fendt 728 but not this year. As for the Valtra, if we can strike a deal, as TNS want to get one or two out in the field, then watch this space.
  16. I changed the rear wheels on my 8280 to match the 8270/80s I saw back in the day. Sprayed them Saphire grey as well. Also fitted 710 wide tyres. And a 2003 reg plate, TNS dealer sticker.
  17. They are £88 online at NorthWest ebay site................free postage though🙄
  18. I will put pictures up when it arrives from Brushwood. Heres a couple of Ts in similar livery to the models.
  19. I bought one tonight just in case the banks don't survive the weekend😁.............but which one?
  20. So will it be gorgeous green or great grey?? I have to say that Peter at Brushwood has done a fine job of photographing the two new models. The green one looks superb and I have to say the grey one looks much nicer than I first thought, as it looked matt grey in other shots but it certainly doesn't on the B.T photo's. And at 65 quid thats a great price compared to NorthWests £88!!
  21. The 6475 had american spec extremely narrow rear fenders on it, thats what spoiled it, along with the poor wheel detail. I had to transfer the cab, rear fenders & wheels off a 5480 onto the 6475 to make it look reasonably right! 7499 was the more accurate model, they just got the roof & wheel colours wrong. Actually looking forward to getting the new 7495.
  22. Oooh that looks very nasty Smithy, I hope you have a speedy recovery mate.
  23. Having nicked the front wheels and all 4 tyres off the 8280 for another convo I was looking for inspiration in my spare wheels and tyres bin. And I may have found it🙃............needs a little cleaning up and black paint on the bar axle but should do the job nicely.
