    Some MFs

That 1200 looks superb, your mate must have spent a lot of time and effort to get it to that condition.
  2. I personally would chose the 6cyl Perkins, but then I'm biased in already having a Massey with a six cylinder engine. Having said that , however, a mate of mine has a twelve month old 6470 with a Sisu engine and he loves it. He reckons last harvest time it used half the deisel of the JD it replaced, and in these days that can't be bad!
  3. Strange, just doesn't look right, does it.
  4. Couple more pics, FE35 with standard UH 35X and my 35/135 family on UH chassis.
  5. Can't believe no ones done one of these yet, really simple , basically a re-paint and a few minor detail changes . Swap exhaust to other side and change a few pipes to represent 23C engine and thats about it.
  6. Yes , we always use a heavy flat roll after reseeding grassland, gives a nice flat finish and preeses any stones in if you intend to mow, lot kinder on the mower.
  7. Looks to me like a Fordson N "longwing", they were built circa 1929-32 in Ireland. The long mudguards were supposed to stop the tractor rearing over backwards, a common occurence with Fordsons, but being only thin sheet metal were probably of little use.
  8. What floors do you mean Johny? The cab floors are painted Humbrol 67 Tank Grey , gives a nice rubber mat colour.
  9. Nice convo there , great to see something different being done.
  10. Added a few details and a toplink at the back, and got a pic of it in company with a Siku 8270 and my 8480 conversion.
  11. Finally managed to get this one finished last night, was going to be a 8150 but I ran out of 5's in my decal bank, so it ended up being a 8160
  12. Finally got back to this one after a long enforced break, { new kitchen, floors up and replaced, that sort of thing, you know what these women are like }. Got the cab interior in, from a Siku 8280, mounted the cab, bonnet sprayed up and decaled, just the finishing touches to do really, will post a few more pics later.
  13. Nice one Marky, where do you keep turning these old brochures up from? Certainly looks like a Landini round the bonnet, but you were right , I've never seen one like it before.
  14. Simply stunning, amazing realism. I also thought I was looking at the real thing for a while.
  15. Lovely pair of Inter's you've got there, can you tell us how you made the one from Siku and Uh bits.
  16. Thanks Powerrabbit, looks as if I've got an early version with the cab missing then.
  17. Everybody had a different style of counterweight as I remember, nearly all homemade, ranged from the same as Sean's to 45 gallon drums full of concrete, with a fergy 9 hole drawbar through them.
  18. Well done, couple of great conversions there , look pretty good for John Deeres.
  19. Thanks Sean , never seen the centre steer version before, do you know if it's an earlier or later version than the wire steer?
  20. At a toy-fair in Hereford yesterday and came across a Britains MF135 in amongst a box of Corgi MF's ,all priced up except the 135, asked the chap how much,He said a fiver so I jumped at it. Didn't look that closely at the time, but after I got it home I noticed its got a slightly different steering system to the other ones I've got. In the pics it's on the left and as you can see it hasn't got the wire link to the axle, but has the steering similar to later Britains models. Can anyone tell me if it's a later model or why its different? It's also got a number plate on the rear wing, but that might be a later addition.
  21. Nice pics Marky, how big a farm has that chap got?, looks a hell of a lot of horsepower for any farm.
  22. I would say its too big for a 6470/80 but about spot on for a 6485/90, otherwise very nice conversion.
  23. Nice little convo there, well done. Looking at published dimensions, the Deutz K100 has a wheel base of 2.419m, whilst the MF 5425 - 5455 have a wheelbase of 2.46m. This gives a scale difference of less than 2mm, so I would suggest it could represent any MF 54 series from the 5425 to the 5455
