  1. Did someone mention my name? Checked this one out for you and it goes like this: BT land rover first released in 1989 as cat no.9923, British Gas land rover released at same time, as cat no. 9924, in the range titled as "Authentic road series" Both deleted at the end of 1990, so not that common having quite a short production run. They do not come up on eBay very often. Whilst looking this up I checked to see when I bought mine, Gas one on 04/04/04 at Shepton Mallet for £18, BT one on eBay in 2007 for £16 inc. p&p. Also have a BT one without the hardtop, would like to find one of them but may just put a tilt on it
  2. These date from 1969, pre force before The wheels were also modified to allow this additional piece to sit inside the rim
  3. '66 cat has printed prices in/on it. '68 cat has both printed and separate price list.
  4. With regard to the A5 leaflets, not all have trees on them French leaflet. I'm pretty sure this was also available in English.
  5. Do you mean these ploughmaster? Have others if interested
  6. Trade or customer? How many were made? Talking to Charlie Biggs last year I think he said something like half a million customer catalogues per year. What prizes are real? what do you mean? I'm looking for some of these trade ones as well
  7. How do you get the 5000 apart in the first place, without breaking it?
  8. Good to see complete, I want Where are you getting all of these boxes from
  9. Some are still being converted for this by Dando Drilling International Ltd at Ford, West Sussex. http://www.dando.co.uk/tags/photo_gallery/?album=2&gallery=2 see picture bottom right
  10. I quote " 148-F Farmyard Display. Containing Stable Lad and Dog, Horses, Colt and Trough. A total of six items.563, 513, 543, 550, 602, and 529. 1955-59."
  11. Try this book "Suspended Animation an unauthorised history of Herald ans Britains plastic figures" by Peter Cole covers from 1953 to 1999 in the updated edition. ISBN 1 900898 04 7 There are small pictures of every figure released along with notes on changes/variations.
  12. A slightly random question but do you have any pictures showing the top of the cab on the real thing, is it anything like the 70 series cab roof but more rounded? Should also add, liking that a lot especially what you have done to the cab. I mean to have a go at something myself, but not to ambitious.
  13. And none of them awful wire ties!!!!!
  14. Okay, I looked this one up for you It was available for one year, 2005, and only in a boxed set as set number 40841 complete with tipping trailer, round bale, farmer, some animals, some fencing and a gate. Looks like it may have been released as a sort of replacement for the Little Farmer range They seem to have been in the shops/with traders for a long time, probably not good sellers
  15. I was under the impression that these numbers had something to do with Chinese production probably which slow boat they went on grottles equal streaks or snots?
  16. I like to see them in their working clothes unless they are really bad. Its good to see that some people do look after them though. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to get one that's been well looked after, I've made a start as I have the grill badge from one my dad drove in the 70's. His was an 1124 with a hiab mounted on the back and towed a large pole trailer that had a flatbed fixed to it. This being during the building of the M27 motorway , from Portsmouth to Funtly. He is not to sure which version, Force or Preforce, it was as it had a replacement bonnet/nose cone or two . The supplier was most likely A T Osborne. I was lucky enough to have a steer, being only little then. Sorry to much waffle
  17. Its also a euro version of the 9630T
  18. Never seen this but did overhear someone talking about a different version of the 4.57 at a Spalding event a few years ago and the name on the bonnet side is ringing a, rather quiet, bell. Does the roof look painted or is it the same colour underneath?
  19. Some great pictures, has the 1174 been well looked after or been refurbished?
  20. Try Brian Norman, sticky backed 7810 for £1.50 plus postage I presume, 01646 661645 between 9 am and 9 pm, for availability!
  21. I really hope that they are not all green; top of range; 4wd and one model becomes a thousand variations on a theme As regards Internet buying I know it is not the same as going to a toy fair but you don't half save on jungle juice
  22. MF set, no. 9592, first released in 1977 with an acrobat rake, this was replaced by a cultivator in 1981. The 595 was replaced by the TW 20 in 1982 and the cultivator by the mini trailer. The roller replaced the mini trailer in 1983. The disc mower was replaced with the little Vicon Vari spreader in 1985, the disc mower only being available in this set, from 1983. Set deleted end of 1985. The Ford was always listed in the catalogue, separately, as a TW20 right through to the 5610 release. As noted in the pocket guide, the 7710 was never listed, but there is a picture of one in the 1986 catalogue
  23. Set number 9644 released in 1991, deleted end of that year and shown in that years catalogue. The Lamborghini was available with the front and rear plough set as number 9645, again available for one year only. Not forgetting the Hurlimann H468 as all three shared the same cab/wings with different bonnets
  24. It is a Herald new lines brochure. It is 6 pages, opening out to the left and then to the right. Closed up it is 216mm x 170mm, opened out it is 648mm x 170mm. Picture shown is the back page. It came from the Charlie Biggs auction, via a dealer, along with three other new lines brochures and two trade catalogues for 1956 and 1957
  25. There is a muddy version of this too.
