  1. 135F became 9534 in 1962 when it was available in the packing case box, with both numbers. I have 176F/9537 Acrobat rake with both numbers on the box and a reference to the 1962 catalogue, I will add a picture latter, memory willing At some point in the 70's, I believe, the individual discs were replaced by a two part casting per side. It was deleted at the end of 1976 and replaced by 9553 in 1977. 138F became 9551 also in 1962 and was again available in the same style of box as the discs. It was sold separately until the end of 1970 after which it was only available in a set with the 3 furrow plough, as set number 9555, from 1971 to 1974. Replaced with set number 9546, in 1975, consisting of the 3 furrow and 3 furrow reversible ploughs. Plastic was first mentioned, with reference to this plough, in the 1972 catalogue so presumably it was metal until then I remember these boxes, just............very small then, but ripped them apart to get at the toys
  2. In numerical order- 9321-TW35 tractor 1987-1991 rebadged as 8830 in 1991, so any sets manufactured in 1991 will/may have the 8830 model tractor 9322-NH TR96 combine-1988-1989 9323-Class forage harvester-1988 only 9324-County1884-1989-1991 9341-Vicon towed vari spreader 1987-1991 9342-Howard rotary manure spreader 1987-1991 9343-Maschio powered harrow 1988-1991 9381-TW35 and vari spreader 1987-1991 9382-TW35 and manure spreader 1987-1991 9383-TW35 and vicon mower 1987-1988 9384-TW35 and powered harrow 1988-1991 9385-County and animal trailer 1989-1991 9386-County and NH940 baler 1989-1991 9390-TW35 and vari spreader, mower and manure spreader 1987-1988 9391-TW35 and vari spreader, manure spreader and powered harrow 1989 only All markets I should imagine. Information taken from trade catalogues for 1988 to 1991 inclusive
  3. TW35 Powerfarm set 9390 with Vicon mower, Vari spreader and also Howard rotary manure spreader, the mower is not powered from/by the tractor. Released in 1987 deleted end of 1988, replaced in 1989 by set 9391 as described by Tractorman810. This set was deleted at the end of 1989 so is probably the rarer of the two sets. I did not know it existed until this little bit of research I have the earlier set. All of the powered implements were available separately with the TW35 as also was the mower. The County was only available, from 1989, with either a NH 940 baler or animal trailer, and separately of course. The 8830 was first listed in the 1991 catalogue as "9321 Ford TW 35 (8830) Powered Tractor" It was still available with the three powered implements, separately, so presumably there are sets out there with the 8830 as opposed to the TW35, with the same set numbers. All deleted at the end of 1991 :'( The Combine and Forage Harvester were first issued in 1988, the Forage Harvester was deleted at the end of the year and the Combine in 1989. Where is this advertised?
  4. You could on the production/customer version. You can't on this one because there is no motor, gearbox or battery connections. The lever on the back puts it into and out of drive, the PTO runs all the time the switch below the bonnet is in the on position
  5. As requested by BGU, and with thanks to my niece, a short clip of the Powerfarm display in operation. For some reason it appears to be a bit squashed up
  6. Is Gleaner the manufacturer? Didn't Allis Chalmers make a Gleaner model of combine in the 60's
  7. Have a look in Farm & Site magazine, issue 4
  8. Try looking here, they are easy to do http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=11905.0
  9. More than the start price
  10. Last one for the time being There was a glimpse of this in the picture of the shop sales unit, on the top shelf, but no one appeared to notice it I will leave the description to ploughmaster It is 920 x 320 x 220 (L x W x H )approximately The base is the same as the top one shown earlier, but cut down to suit the case. The cutout at the front is where a small fluorescent light goes. The Fiat 90-90 DRW tractor, model 9529, dates it to 1988. It was only available for one year in orange. Fin
  11. A couple of vac formed bases, they are about 500 x 1200. There are no markings on them whatsoever so they may have been bought in. I think they were made for, if not by, Britains. All will be revealed There was one of these for sale on eBay recently, but it did not sell. I do not know which version it was, it may have been different again.
  12. Perhaps a little obscure, but...........a couple of adverts for you. This from June 1977..................Jubilee year. I've still got my mugs, they are being looked after by my mum This ones is from the TV Times of April 1987. Slightly bigger, for all you true blues :D :D
  13. Not really POS, but connected with it. This would have been used for printing the labels to go on the stock boxes as seen earlier. Easy to date as this model was released in 1982 I do not know what this was used for, perhaps as part of a packing slip Going by the small rear wheels on the Ford 5000 it must date from either 1974 or1975, 6600 released in 1976. The lady I bought this from stated that her parents owned a toy shop and that this was given to her by a Britains rep.
  14. This one can be dated, 2000, and has a part no. 0715 Okay last for tonight, I think this was used internally, in the factory/store. It probably dates from the 80's as there is no B with the soldier inside. 9545 is the Tipping Transporter with loads, this was deleted at the end of 1987.
  15. I think this one/design is next, correct me if I am wrong Then these............
  16. A few stock boxes for you tonight. Earliest first
  17. I was going to put this up, you beat me to it, but I do not mind I am sooooooooo happy ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D All the comments following this made me laugh as well WAAAHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO
  18. It's pot luck, as regards eBay, pot luck again I've been collecting for one or two years as well
  19. Not much help, as its for mounted ploughs, but there was a free guide from Kverneland advertised in the Feb edition of Classic Tractor
  20. No takers to date this 1990 It's good to hear that people are enjoying this as much as I am Oh to own a time machine, all mint and boxed with all the rare ones to boot dream on
  21. One more for tonight. Another cube, size is 300 x 300 x 300 approximately or for the more senior members 1' x 1' x 1' I reckon this dates from after 1986. I know that they are not contemporary with the cube, 1987 saw the release of the Powerfarm range and I've already shown one of them, albeit without a motor
  22. I suppose you could class this as POS. A recent eBay purchase. I bought it from the original seller who only had a poor picture of one of the other, Fiat half track, items. The other items were re-listed by the new owner with good photo's, I was unable to secure any of them This is how it arrived with only the one foldout wing section. The buyer who re-listed the other items described it as being made for the 1982 Toy Fair. Model is held on to base by wire through four holes. The logo and other markings appear to be cut from a box! Model No. and suggested retail price shown on base with a number 6 for what I cannot imagine The box is specific to this item and going by the letter K on it there were at least 10 other items to go with it There were a lot of new releases in 1982. There are no Britains markings on it at all, these would be along the rear most part where the green A shaped rods come out to. As you can see in the photograph the production model differed in a few ways. There are eyes on the cast metal parts and additional holes in the moulded plastic pieces. The rear most metal part is not cut down on the left, adjacent to hinge, so that a production wing section does not fold up on to the main section as it should. I hope this is clear The lower one was bought for a replacement wing section. Whilst looking through the 1982 trade catalogue I noticed that the MF version of the tipping trailer has been decal-ed up with the combine markings.....WEIRD
  23. I cant do video, but it does work, I've just tried it ;D Its not very fast, probably wouldn't throw the muck very far if it managed to throw it out!
  24. Last for tonight. Powerfarm rolling road with its packing box With tractor and muck spreader, drive shaft missing here The tractors for this do not have a motor or battery terminals but do have the early design of bonnet with no locating lugs on the lower rear part. They are attached to the rolling road by a small Velcro patch on the under slung/belly weights The white rectangle on right is where the tractor is attached Last one for tonight. A view of the underside showing the motor, bottom right. Apart from the motor and belt the rest is made from cardboard.
  25. More I think this was introduced in 1987. The scene along the bottom was first used in the 1986 catalogues, when Farming display stand 0096 was still available. It folds flat for storage and is one piece. There are six little cards like the one on the left, unfortunately the plastic tags have become brittle with age and are broken With a few tractors to give you an idea of how big it is.
