  1. I think you ansered your own question there Sean with the last picture. Someone on here posted a picture of that set with a blue sprayer. Have also heard of thm from another source, Brian Norman I think it was. A nice find. there is also a red version with beige arms.
  2. Hi John, some lovely items, the boxes are just like the Farm range ones, not very sturdy, but then they weren't designed to last 30 plus years. Can you have a look at the underside of the Unimog and see if it has a Sample Copy lable afixed. I have 9980 in an Autoway box with that lable underneath and the 3 pointed star on the doors are cut out from the grill decal. I'm sure you are aware that the Safety Trailer would normally be white in the Road series, so this is most likely Britains using up mouldings! I think i have a wrong coloured Safety Trailer and Land Rover 9981 but cannot remember which way round colour wise.
  3. My original example with yellow plastic cab, implement lift is from a Fordson Major. These cabs are slightly taller than those found on the Major
  4. I'm sure I have a couple of those unpainted workmen somewhere! I definitely have some unpainted farm figures for sure!
  5. No. First released in 1959 at same time as the new Fordson Major, as 174F, becoming 9537 in 1962 when the numbering system was changed to the 9000 series. Deleted end of 1979 along with the front/rear mounted Buck Rake. Late ones appear to come with a silver sticker on the blade, see Colour Variations Thread by Sean (Tractorman810) I think his example is in here! I think it was only available in blue with the large display set 9596 as shown above, although one in the packing case box came up for sale a year or three back. I suspect that one originally contained an orange Muledozer, examining the box carefully for orange paint might reveal the truth! I have not seen any other blue ones boxed like this but, knowing how Britains operate, never say never
  6. Nice find, presumably it has a silver painted blade? If the sacks are rubber don't keep in/near the link box or any other plastic implement as you will get the sme reaction as the tyres/wheels
  7. It comes down to price, thought you sold this set when you had a big sale some years ago? PM me I don't have a blue 5000 Super Major cab, unfortunately.
  8. I have a few of these, the real hard ones to find are the 5000 Super Major in Blue or Yellow. Yet to aquire a blue version, pigs will probably fly first
  9. They are only checking to ensure no damaged ones slip through the net, insert "tongue firmly in cheek smiley" Well that's what I was told. Not paying silly money for one, unless I get a nice lottery win, so, as I said, not paying silly money for one
  10. The options were not great IMHO. Didn't know the Valtra had won but as you say not surprising realy. All they have to do is chuck a different colour in with the plastic granules before moulding, job done
  11. Cheers Sean. You'll need this one for a roadless front axle for Majors, think the QL axle will look more like a County XX00 Four model with its vertically split differential housing, you would have to turn it upside down though to get the diff in the right place. that might play havoc with the swivels if they are at an angle? GMC CCKW-352 Wood Cargo Truck, HobbyBoss 83832 (2015) (scalemates.com)
  12. @MDFord I didn't get the name unfortunately
  13. Sounds like a good place to visit Sean. I was staying in Hayle and happened to drive through the town instead of using the bypass. I had a bit of time on my hands, as the key holder had a 2 plus hour trip back to Exeter so didn't want to leave very late! It's not far from Asda's
  14. A couple of new editions to my collection, this material is getting harder to aquire! I was working in Cornwall last week and visited a toy shop near my digs where I was fortunate enough to purchase a pair of these, It wasn't a Toymaster as such but must have been affiliated to them. It is 1200 long by 450 high, if my memeory serves me well. Same image on both sides. A 2020 Tomy Trade Catalogue. The recent ones seem to be difficult to get a hold of these days I know, not Britains, but I liked it. It is huge though. I think each panel is 1500 x 650 ish 🤔 The other side does have a Tomy item on one panel but another manufacturers item on the other. Possibly another Toymaster item, albeit not marked
  15. It is nice to see someone received a random gold Major. A few traders seem to be better than the majority, mine were opened, to check for damage apparently. There is no A on the Blue boxed ones either, presumably why traders are opening the boxes. I think Britains should have kept quiet about inserting random coloured ones, I don't doubt it would have got out eventually but everyone has the same chance then.
  16. What is the idea behind this, for use behind a lower powered tractor? Will be interesting to see the brochure.
  17. I think they missed an opportunity here, seeing as they are made from diecast and not lead, a rear hitch could have been incorporated as per the E1A's. Get mine soon hopefully. Plenty for sale on a certain auction site.
  18. Would love to find one of these, I don't think they were made by Britains but maybe for them. Is this one from the US, complete with a trade catalogue, I forget which year but possibly 1972/3. I thought I'd saved a picture of that page but cannot find it now!
  19. There are two versions of this, the other version is much more common methinks. Only seen two like this, and I have the other one! Where did you come across the McDonalds advert? How big is it?
  20. Maybe it was withdrawn from sale to be used in this, seems much fairer to me!
