    FORD 7000

I remember, Autumn 1975, waiting for a lift home from school, when the Cahir House Garages truck drove by with a Ford 7000 Selene 4wd on't back. Took me about an hour to track it down - the first 4wd I ever drove (age 10). Subsequently replaced by a County 1174 (1978), Deutz 6.05 (1990) and TM125 (2002) I still remember the WOW! factor as it drove past the school after all these years. Serious bit of kit!
  2. I'll be shot if I don't go this year. First visited that farm back in the 80s (to visit the second youngest daughter ). They used to run Muir Hill, Deutz and Zetor back then. Lovely family.
  3. Hope they do something about those rear wheels, they look totally wrong. The wheels off the Siku MF5455 would be closer to the mark IMHO.
  4. Pop down to the bridges to visit Ray and he'll tell you very fast what you need You might remember this picture: He busted the pick up hitch on the (TS100 engined) 7600, so swapped the 40k 7740 SLE under the Toomey. 25 Tonnes gross and not a bother on her up the hill to Wallaces. And she is his second choice for road work!
  5. Lots of stories of combines getting bogged, and being seriously damaged when being dragged out. Have one story of a brand new combine being completely written off when they tried to pull her out of a hole with a 12 tonne track machine. Hoping to get pics of that one.
  6. The first song from the new AC/DC album. [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sat6quo41YQ]Rock'n Roll Train Most Excellent! *
  7. At Fingal a couple if years ago there was a V12 TE20 and a V6 Dexta. Awesome machines.
  8. While rooting through some cartons of models I found my boxed MB Trac 1500 with price tag still on it. £9.16 :'( :'( :'(
  9. NH Combine (8000 series I think) served by a MXU and Smyths trailer Lexion 450 served by a Valtra 8400 and 8550 both with Redrocks Deutz Topliner on dual wheels served by three Fendts. Two 818s and a 400 series.
  10. TS115A and TM120 with Smyths trailers, and a Deutz 6.31 with what I think is a Lee, drawing grain. The driver of the TSA is a member here. Here's a pic of the TM and one of the trailers taken last December.
  11. Great pics Ben. Looks like a C plate Marky. Would make her 86/87 by my reckoning.
  12. Here's another vid with a TM190 and a TVT190 and similiar sized trailers. [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzIYabL0Jyc]Mais51 NH Demo

  14. The whole Ad-Blue thing is a massive scam as far as I can tell. I believe there are serious Haz-Chem issues involved in using it too. Won't be long before people start changing over to MAN Trucks with EGR systems. [url=http://www.euro4.co.uk/]MAN EGR - Just add profit
  15. My dream outfit - a blue Steyr under a Jumbo. Well done that man!
  16. He has a legend to live up to! :D
  17. Now you're bringing back memories! The 35 was always parked on a hill. It always had the water drained from the rad in the evening, and was refilled with hot water just before it was started. The procedure for starting it consisted of lighting the glow plugs, putting a shot of easy start into the air filter, and letting it roll down the hill in 6th, then letting the clutch out. Nearly always worked! Eventually he got sense and bought a Dexta. Started on the button every time, and could be used to pull start the 35 whenever necessary.
  18. A question for Lord Ferguson: I grew up driving a 4 cylinder MF 35. My Grandfather swore it wasn't a "yellowbelly" (grey and gold) because they were "soft". Was there a grey engined 4 cylinder 35 between the FE and the 35X?
  19. WOW! Nice to see so many on original plates. I hate that ZV nonsense (never mind the post-87 stupidity) Was that a Cord 812 up near the top? I have a Cord 812 kit in 1:32 which will get built some day. The Bedford school bus. I wonder was that the first one registered. CIE used to sequentially number their buses back then - it wasn't possible from 87 to 92, and it costs nearly €300 per vehicle since 1993. Don't get me started!
  20. You have no idea how disappointed I am that I didn't manage to get there in the end! :'( :'( :'( :'( I doubt I'll ever see those classic blues together in one field again. Such a pity that some of the real legends have been re-registered onto the post 87 (idiotic) Irish reg system. Whoever re-registered the push-pull 7610 needs to be shot. That should have been left on its original UK plate. Thanks for the pics Fintan. Very much appreciated!
  21. Hey Puds! How 'bout you write up a few articles about the weird and wonderful machinery on the farms down there in New Zealand? CT needs an antipodean correspondent - and what better than a Pudding's World section? :D :D
  22. I'm hoping to make it on Sunday. Fingers crossed.
  23. That man is a God! (Any pics of it on the 7600 Four?)
