roberthenning, rarity value! There are 500 blue ones but only 75 gold ones and people don't part with them very often. The seller does have a blue one as well and it is slowly creeping up but still with 7 days to go :-

Just how high is this going to go, I am betting on at least 4 figures http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360531244547?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

North West Recovery
robbo replied to robbo's topic in General Discussion / Off topic discussion & Everything Else
For anyone who was caught on the M6 today around the Wigan area I am sorry but we had a rather delicate recovery to do. A car towing a horsebox overturned but thankfully the horses on board were not badly hurt, although they were very stressed. Unfortunately, some idiot drivers were going past and blasting their horns as we were getting the animals out which absolutely did nothing to calm them down. > -
That's a good Cheshire registration number, after all, they were made in Sandbach ;)

Gama Deutz D10006A - red export versions
robbo replied to stapelopfordson's topic in Other Farm Models
According to Crilley and Burkholder the "424" model was produced in 1976 and the "426" with the cab was produced in 1978. Both were originally made in Germany and are 1/29 scale and the cabbed version was also made in the more usual green. Gama also made a similar version with a roll over frame (ROPS) which was available in both red and green and both with and without a side mower. They are certainly rare these days but I don't have any information as to how many were actually produced in either colour. I have seen these make up to £70 on a good day on eBay but, as with all auctions, you could also get a bad day when they make much less than that. -

Some of my former colleagues got together and had a photo taken for me to remember them by -
Hopefully we will have the FTF advance model on the stand at Penrith if you want a closer look :

Great pics Bay and thanks for posting. It amused me to see that in some of your photos Mr Softie was looking back the other way with his camera, so, when he posts his pics will you be on the other side looking back at him? ;D ;D

Not too much, but it is missing the air cleaner although you could see that from the photos in the listing. -

I have had a saved search for SAME tractors for several years and in all that time I have never seen a 1/43 Same Tiger 100 by Polistil except in the Crilley and Burkholder book, until last week that is......it was delivered today as there was no way I was ever going to be outbid for it : -
Is this what you call "a healthy dollop of realism"?? ;D ;D

Don't forget Penrith as well : However, it is because most field work has finished but the organisers want to get their shows in before Christmas gets in the way.

Got a letter from a gentleman today who liked the article I did for SAME tractors in the Model Farmer magazine. He told me a bit about his own farming history and the SAME tractors he has owned over the years. It turns out that it was his SAME 360C that was the model for the Country Artists sculpture called "Breaking New Ground" which is the 360C pulling a four furrow Ransomes plough. 8) -
I don't know about the rest of the tractors but the Winston Churchill Land Rover went on to make double its pre sale estimate, when the hammer finally fell it had made £129,000 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-20017339

Standard model, with box £70 and no bids http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORGI-MASSEY-FERGUSON-165-TRACTOR-/251166841599?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item3a7ab5daff I still think £50 is the top line for this model at the moment

Now then Martyn what about a model of the Case 1056...... we all know your standards so it is bound to be a beauty, oh, and I will have one if you do! :
