The Tractor Twitcher
mine are all dealer box, but i would settle for the non if it had that trimmer version on it, theres 2 different versions on the plain tractor that i know of decal wise, but i have never looked at the back end to see what sort of hitch it has fitted?? To be honest Sean I didn't pay any attention as to what type of hitch was fitted to back of the model. Just remember seeing them side on in their boxes. Nowhere near as a appealing to me without the attachments fitted.
The Tractor Twitcher
Here you go Patrick here's the 1/25 scale Steyr 170 in all it's glory even if it isn't the most glorious of models. I have a number of these larger scale ROS tractors in my collection and this one is arguabley the strongest and definitely most heavy of all the ones I have. There's much more metal construction gone into making the Steyr compared to the others. If it wasn't for the horribley out-of-proportion cab this would be fairly respectable representation of the real deal too. But instead of the bungalow that should reside on top of the tractor ROS have equipped their model with something resembling Canary Wharf instead. Jdeere6910
Thanks for the pictures David, when it was next to the britains steyr I couldnt think what scale it was never seen one of those before either
The Tractor Twitcher
You're very welcome Patrick. I bought the two Britains Steyrs largely because they're are based on the same platform as the Britains New Holland TSA / TNA and Case IH MXU / JXU which I already had in my collection so I was quite keen to complete that mini set. I have a couple of Case IH derived Steyrs in my collection too in the shape of the Britains CVX1155 and the Siku CS150. I'm aware Siku also made a Steyr 9145 and at least two versions of the smaller 9094. I've also seen some smaller scale Steyr models too at Spalding in the past based on older models but I can't recall who manufactured them. Must say i'm quite looking forward to Universal Hobbies forthcoming release of the 9105, I really like the Steyr livery so it would be nice to see a few more higher detailed Steyr models produced in the future especially from the older D series, then we might see some of the Marshall badged tractors too....I can but dream. Enough of my rambling here's photographs of the two Britains Steyrs.

The Tractor Twitcher
Very nice. Im a big FORD man myself! Thanks Justin. I do like my blue machines too, it's all my Uncle's ever had on his farm ( including a Jubilee 7810 ) followed by the latter day New Holland tractors. TW, 10 series and 40 series are definitely my favourites.

The Tractor Twitcher
nice updates david , your getting a nice line up of new fastras now Thanks Rich, enjoyed rearranging them all and giving them all a proper dust. Very pleased with the line up of Fastracs i've gathered so far, i'm still missing few 1/32nd scale examples that i'm planning on keeping an eye for in the future. The Tractor Twitcher
Returned to my parent's house earlier today to discover this alongside a birthday card and box of chocolates with a message from my Dad below "I don't think you have this one." Thanks Dad.

The Tractor Twitcher
Looks well that David, and Happy Birthday Thanks Lee. Whilst it's not a model i'd have probably gone looking for, i'm absolutely delighted my Dad picked that one out of a whole host of other Siku general releases. I'm rather taken with it. What a da you have David getting that for your birthday, Happy Birthday mate as well Thanks Patrick. Capped to bits he bought it for me, i'm very greatful. Whilst he seems reluctant to start a collection of his own he does seem to be keeping a very close eye on mine whilst it still resides at his and Mum's house. The Tractor Twitcher
Here's the first of my two model purchases from Peter Hardy today at the Great Yorkshire Steam Rally, a fantastic model that was originally concieved and built by Paul Capon ( PDC Farm Models ) on a Siku John Deere 5620. I'm absolutely smitten with this little tractor. It bears a close resemblence to a 2wd 5020 series tractor that works locally alongside a 4wd version. Here's my 1/32nd scale pair, including a standard 4wd Siku 5620:
The Tractor Twitcher
Whilst here's a big red monster bought to sit alongside my standard Siku 8280, capped to bits with both models.

I've always fancied having the standard Farmer+ model as I like the fact they fitted the front weights rather than the A-frame and have wanted something to partner my 8280 for a long time too. I reckon this model fits the bill and then some, really pleased with it. I shall have to have a nosey back through the conversion listings at your model Paul. The macro setting works very well on my new camera, decided to photograph the John Deere and Massey outside as the lighting was really good last night. convo
Here's the first of my two model purchases from Peter Hardy today at the Great Yorkshire Steam Rally. It's a 2wd conversion of a Siku John Deere 5720 Farmer+. I'm absolutely smitten with this little tractor and all the extra little details Peter's included. It bears a close resemblence to a 2wd 5020 series tractor that works locally alongside a 4wd version. Here's my 1/32nd scale pair, including a standard 4wd Siku 5620: david can i just clear some thigh up the 5620 2wd was originally a pdc conversion i only swapped some parts to the farmer plus 5720 model because of its extra detail and change the bit on the front end,i do not want it to look as if i am ripping off paul pdc models ,he really needs to take the credit for this in the first place . cheers peter

Understandabley I wouldn't want to misinform collectors either and I always give high praise and credit where it's due for any conversion builder's models I purchase for my own collection. I'm absolutely chuffed to bit's I have the work from independent model builders and conversion specialists such as yourself, Paul ( PDC ), Dave Purdue ( DBP ), Mark ( 4055power ), JanMF, and Dave Towse residing in my cabinets and will always endeavour to promote that through this thread. The only tenuous connection I have with the real machine is that I had a passenger ride in one on a road run earlier in the year. Just need to decide where it's going to live now. The Tractor Twitcher
Here's the latest additions to my collection that go towards a couple very specific themes. First up a standard Siku John Deere 5820 which i've removed the front A - frame from to sit alongside my 5620 and PDC 5720 models: Whilst here's the standard Britains International 956XL to join my pair of Dave Towse conversions: Lastly a pair of Britains AS-Marston silage trailers to run alongside one of my self propelled foragers.
