They've packed in pretty well and were laid in the summer so were a bit soft so fused together a bit with the vibrating roller. There's a bit loose on top but sound underneath.

Well, the first landwork of 2013. Managed to start applying some nitrogen to the OSR , WB and poorer wheats. Unfortunately I could manage all the fields and still have about  40ha to cover when it dries up more.

Renault and spreader in wheat - a bit soft.

Looks like it's drying out quite nicely John, does the seeder push you a bit coming down that field, looks a wee bit steep, :of

Regards

Joe.

Doesn'nt push me anywhere! It's a big drag up or down hill. :-

How much land have ye John?

I have 160ha but look after another 61ha for a neighbour.

Land looks lovely and dry John, hardly making any ruts! And you're drilling as well, New Holland looks very smart

It's just borderline as it's still wet underneath in places.

Nice photos and updates John....nice change to be back on the land again I'll bet ;D  ;D

Seems like a long, long time!

I know at least a couple of people on here interested in poultry - I'm not particularly, but here are some pics. of TT's poultry. I'm looking after them whilst she's off globe-trotting again. >:(

Just taken with  my phone whilst feeding them.

Cyril, who didn't like the look of my phone!

Just thought of a serving suggestion- mole kebab --{}-{}-{}-{}--

And I've been catching around 6 of these wee pests every day. In addition to keeping the pigeons and swans off the OSR.

Good idea - I'm fed up of mole goulash! Although I have plenty trousers.

looks like a slewtic bucket and brush? did they deliver direct to you?

It is a Slewtic, but I had to go through my dealer. Slewtic do quote a price which is the maximum a dealer can charge.

Been a busy old summer, but won't bore you with pics of the same old machinery.

I hired this for a few days - shifted a lot of muck!
1.jpg

Hauled this out of retirement to rip up the bits that lay wet all year. Bomford subsoiler.
2.jpg

Unfortunately pulled up a lot of these..
3.jpg

But at least I had some company in the combine!

Drilling some second wheat in October. I had the NH remapped and it makes a big difference, both on fuel consumption and power.
