JCB BLOKE
We have been asked by Harold Powlton to run this by everyone..... He is thinking of possibly putting on a show in the Birmingham area around 23rd May 2010. It would be on the same lines as his Rheged show - farm, construction & possibly haulage. Set up would be on the Saturday from 6pm onwards, then the show being open to the public on the Sunday. The site he is proposing to use, which will possibly have 2 halls, is within easy access of the M42 near the N.E.C. The question he is asking is.......Is anybody interested in displaying, trading, visiting etc? If anybody wants to know any more information then please pm me and I will pass on Harolds phone number to you. Going by Rhegeds standards, it could be another good show, and a bit easier for the southern enthusiasts to get to.
robbo
That's a really good central location and deserves to be supported by everyone. The only qualm I would have is that it is very close to the Spring Spalding show. Having said that, even though I have only been to Spalding once, I think it is in danger of outgrowing the Springfields Centre and a new, more central location might be a good move for all concerned. jsedelweiss
That's a lot nearer me so i will defiantly be attending
Lord Ferguson
Sounds like a good idea... I'm not sue what shows are on and when anymore... but if it doesn't clash.. and it's not within a few weeks of a previous 'big event' then I'll be there for sure... Brum is only about an hour away for me up the A14/M6

JCB BLOKE
I appreciate that it is the following month to Spalding, but it is 6 weeks later! Does anybody know of any other shows it's close to or clashes with ? Marky - are you sure you won't need any tissues to go to Brum!?

Udimore
Sounds good to me.. I'll certainly give it a try trading wise Only thing I would say is that the farmers will be busy at that time of year \
BC
Not a good time for me since the vintage shows will be kicking in but I'm sure it will be a great venue. Was at a course / seminar at there nearly 25 years ago. A long haul from Aberdeen too.
Deere-est
Closer than Spalding by an hour and an easier drive for me. Timing as per other shows is ok, I would just spend less at Spalding to accomodate Birmingham. I would love to support it with a display but won't be able to do that. As for the date, it's the first week of grass silage so that could make it a struggle too. . .
jdc
That would be a fair drive for me but would definitely be worth a look. As for the date, it's the first week of grass silage so that could make it a struggle too. . . Silage in May - up here, no way.

Big A
hmmm i cant decide if i should make the trip or not, might be a wee bit tricky with work. Mrs Big A has already said we should come down to it, sounds strange a wife saying that her husband should go to all the model shows he can :D
