Great set of photos and info about each, thanks David. Have enjoyed looking at them as I could not make it this time, hope to be there in the spring.

The only good thing about not going is that I still have a healthy bank balance!

Thanks ever so much Richard, great to hear you're enjoying them. It's very easy to get carried away at a show like Spalding with so many nice models on offer.....I kept to my budget, sort of!

Thanks for the photos anyone got any of PDC stand Please

You're very welcome Mike, photographs of Paul's stand coming very soon. :)

Damn, I really need to have a trip to spalding, it looks an amazing show

It certainly is Patrick and definitely worth a trip down. When I returned to Spalding around 4 years ago when I'd just started to post on the forum and began collecting it certainly took me a while to take in everything on display. Except then you find yourself at Zwolle which is on another level entirely and you graze your chin on the floor for the first two hours you're there. :)

Great photos. Loads of good models.

Thank you James, appreciated. There were some fantastic models being offered for sale and on display. I've pinpointed a few of my own personal favourites here for closer inspection. But I am certain if you were to attend or anyone else with a camera for that matter you'd probably come back with a completely different set of close up shots of individual models to mine. There really is something for everyone's taste. :)

I would experience sensory overload walking around this year's Spalding, and probably lose a few pounds as well..

It can certainly be like that at times Chris. Having attended the majority of Spalding shows since Spring 2009 you do tend to find it easier find your way around both halls and locate stands or models your most interested in the more times you visit. Many of the seasoned stall holders have set positions that don't change to much over time. Unless there's anything really specific or special your after i'd always recommend having a good look around first without splashing the cash or plastic to get your bearings first. Easier said than done. :)

Continuing where I left off yesterday. Commencing with Peter Hardy's fantastic stand of multi coloured miniatures and weathered models. Peter's a top bloke and always prepared to explain to anyone just what goes into creating the models he converts.

Moving over to the small hall for my next few sets of photographs. Starting with PDC Farm Models and Paul Capon's wonderful array of converted creations. Had my budget stretched that bit further i'd have definitely been coming home with many more of Paul's fine works. Great to catch up with you Paul and thanks again for the models you built for me.

Paul's smart Replicagri based New Holland TM155 with the earlier style decals fitted.

Another classic conversion I was rather keen on. Paul's John Deere 3130 with HFWD front axle.

Thanks for posting up your pictures David, I've never been to Spalding, but done Toytrac with a display or as a spectator for the past 8 years, maybe one of these times i'll bite the bullet and turn up at Spalding, there seems to be a good choice of pretty much everything :)

You're very welcome Paul. Whilst the few layouts and displays on show were absolutely fantastic to see and appreciate it is very much day for buying and selling, and as always when I attend, catching up with so many friendly faces for a good old chinwag. :)

I really must attend Toytrac at some point in the future, looking unlikely this year, but i'll certainly marking it down on my holiday calendar one of these years. :)

Next from my photographic tour of the Spalding Autumn Show an absolutely brilliant layout containing various machinery laden tasks and scenes. I really wished i'd grabbed a word or two with people behind this layout as i'm certain I recognise a number of these converted models from past posts on F.T.F.

....And so to my final selection of photographs from the Spalding Autumn Show 2012. Firstly i'd just like to apologise sincerely to those stands I missed with my camera lens and that includes Mandy ( Holly Love's Toys ) and Andy's Dad's huge selection of models too. Secondly thank you ever so much for all your kind comments.

David.

P1250498_zps33eb3c53.jpg

Conversion and spares specilist Dave Towse always has a fine selection of modified models for sale including this pair of "MH" 121 tractors.

P1250499_zps6d979df0.jpg

Dave also builds a wide variety of converted implements. I do quite fancy one of his Simba presses at some point to go behind my Britains Simba Solo so I can display them with one of my big classic articulated tractors in my collection.

P1250500_zps88caacb8.jpg

Next up one of John Ward's wonderful plinth mounted dioramas.

P1250502_zps8f112dfe.jpg

I also caught up with Cenfyn "Ken" Davies briefly too, and had I stared any longer at his stand, bankruptcy most definitely would have beckoned.

P1250503_zps5c861e6e.jpg

Lastly "busy, busy" on the Model Farmer / Farm Toys Forum Stand.
