Not in the Liner 3000's league mind. Can't say I know anyone with a Kuhn rake to compare to in 'real life', but model wise, I prefer the tidy Kuhn.. Here's the claas I'm speaking of (thats the best pic I can find of it at the moment)
Luke190
Due to lack of display space, I decided to concentrate on building a contractors workshop and machinery shed. Not the most original choice I know, but since its my first display I want to keep the concept simple with the option to add lots of small details. The fleet continues to shape up nicely. Here's our new T5 which replaces our old TS110. Its a slightly shorter, lighter machine, but it offers us a useful yoke for yard and hedge work all year round. We also plan to run the Kuhn rake with it at silage season. Loader will likely stay on all year round. The LWB Defender also arrived. I'm very impressed with it. The front doors and rear door open and the details are on level with the Britains one. Up next is our mowing team consisting of a Big M 500 and a T7.270 with Kuhn triples. We opted to run the latest Kuhn FC 3125 F front mower, with a working width of 3.10 m and improved ground contour following. As a model, the Big M has a better finish to the Big X 580, with far more attention to detail. Its a great model and as you can see from my profile photo I have been a fan of the Big M range for some time. I'm happy to finally own a model of one. Here's a temporary shed with some of the kit. I want to build a Brushwood pro kit soon to replace the shelf these are currently housed in. I need to decide upon which plough to buy. I'm leaning towards the Universal Hobbies Kverneland 150 S VarioMat 4 Furrow Reversible Plough. Do any members own this plough? How do you rate the model? Thanks Alex. I'm trying to keep kit mainly blue and red as the company colour theme. Can't beat the Krones through! Hope to make a start on the diorama in February
RED7726
Krone gear is very good, I'm waiting for the claas 870 to come out before making a decision to get the 580. I plan to run a fleet of MF's on my diorama & as yet only have an entrance, lots more in the pipeline though...
Luke190
Sounds good. I'm also looking out for the 870 to join my collection; however, its unlikely to replace the Big X in my diorama
Wayne D
Some awesome machinery you have Luke, very impressive indeed. I like the warning stickers on the back of the JCB, good work!
Luke190
Thanks Wayne. I managed to find some photos of my previous collection, long since sold off on ebay. I'm still searching for photos, but here's a few of my favourites The TS110 which the new T5 replaces. Great little tractor and to be honest I regret selling it but I needed funds at the time Next is a custom built silage trailer, made from wood + metal/plastic parts I'll add more shortly.. Luke190
Here's the old TM155. I also had a TM140 with a open rear cab window and cb aerial, but can't for the life of me find the photos Next is a dirtied Samson muck spreader, which I bought years back at Toytrac And an Amazone spreader, dirtied with a dust effect

Thanks. My purchases have slowed down a little now that I have most of the models I want in my fleet, but also because its no fun buying everything at once. Once the silage kit is complete, I'll expand into other areas. I'm looking forward to building the yard next with my eye on a few 2016 model releases too These are all photos in the Lewes area nr Hassocks. Most are from Wales Farm, associated with Plumpton College. I've worked on five farms in the Sussex area in the last 20 years but never thought to carry a camera with me. Unfortunately I can't find many other photos at this time but if I do I'll post here. I've driven John Deere's, New Holland's, Ford's, Matbro's, JCB's, Massey's... It would have been good to keep a photo record. Oh well. I had a friend who had family working at the farm part of Middle Farm. Never forget sitting in the Land Rover bombing over a ploughed field between the farm and the cottages there once. Good times
Luke190
Two impulse purchases from LAMMA '16. A T7.210 blue power and Horsch Joker 4m CT cultivator I'm not a big fan of the midnight blue paint, but I wanted another SWB T7 in the fleet and it was only £30 new from the New Holland stand. Maybe it'll grow on me. Maybe it's the case of not knowing someone who owns one. I have liked Horsch equipment ever since I was a wee lad and Culverwells (Massey dealer) in Lewes, Sussex gave me a bunch of Horsch brochures. I see a Horsch drill in the fleet down the line. Here's a couple of New Holland's from LAMMA
Luke190
Construction of the contractors yard began today with the first of two silage clamps. I plan to install two clamps so that we can make our own high quality silage to sell, as well as offering the complete silage making side of the business for our customers. I spent a good few weeks planning the layout, which I think will look great when finished, hopefully over the next 12 months. My idea's expanded from a workshop and storage barn, to a full contractors yard, complete with main road and entrance. The layout needs to be able to dismantle easily since I have no permanent display space, so I'm going to build across three mdf sections to store easily. To ease myself into the build, I chose a Brushwood pro-build kit. The process was very easy and I'm happy with the result. Next up, I'm planning to build a security fence to go between the yard and main road. Here's our oldest tractor, the TM155, which whilst being more than 10 years old, is kept very well as a spare tractor and the boss' favourite
Tractorman810
Those mason kits look pretty decent . They are a bit to big for me and my layout hence I build my own, but for new stuff they work ver well

Eventually I want to build my own I also purchased a Masons Attic barn, which is basic enough to allow me room to customise the roof and sides
Luke190
Continued the build today. Still very early stages. I mapped out the layout on the computer with correct measurements, to make sure the yard design gives enough room for turning and building access. Here's the basic design, with a straight road running along side. Its 6x6ft, which is a little bigger than I planned, but I want space for silage clamps. I decided to make a temporary set up today on my dining table to get a feel for the layout and test out some materials I've ordered lots of building materials and I'm really excited about the project. I don't play with my models, but couldn't help drive the trailers into the yard. Perhaps a sign of things to come I'm planning to build a security fence to run along the roadside of the layout. Here's the concrete supports I'm working on:
