What really annoyed you today

Recommended Posts

I reckon they're waiting on this rain, give it two days and they'll be out

was harvest slightly later last year? ???, i know it was in 2004 because of all the rain :(

i would have thought with the good weather we have had farmers would do as much as practicably possible ???:-\

I think because its more mixed here, it works differently, they've only just got the second cut of silage in and my dad has always said that a bit of rain just before harvest is good for the crop..not sure if thats true....last time it got flattened!

yeah slightly different here as we dont really have the silage to worry about, ]

seems to be Barley, OSR then wheat and beans cut here, doesnt seem to be any breaks though inbetween.....wouldnt mind driving into the fens, bet thats a site for a photographer! ;)

A rain on a cereal crop before harvest drys the crop out more and brings it in because the rain pushes the out the juice so next few hot days just suck that last bit of juice out of it in no time.It also fills the heads a little bit more if the cereal still has abit of life in it. :)

Today i was annoyed at some tw@t in a BMW who didn't slow down when my escort vehicle tried to flag him down and nearly went under the front of the combine, if i hadn't put it in the hedge he would not be alive now to do anything with the speed he was going >:( >:(

going up a narrow road today with the wrapper and tl90 and following behind us was my uncle in the 8210 with baler and we went around a coner and a woman in a citroen xara coming the other way and she stopped in the middle of the road and was telling us to reverse and by this time the other tractor the 7840 and bale trailer had come up behind us all and the woman only had to reverse about 70ft and there was a layby so we just kept moving closer to her bonnet untill she reversed back and then when we where pasing her she was swearing at us ,how stupid was she telling three tractors with trailers to reverse when she only had a small car  >:(
