The damaged boxed  britains T7.315 arrived from Amazon today so straight after i got in from work i had to see if the front weight would fit on my UH T7.300 and by luck its a perfect fit and as its plastic and hollow the T7.300 front links holds it up, i just add to drill out the britains top link or rivet and one bottom pin, i have used a piece of plastic white tube for the bottom links to hook on and a small piece of wire for the top link, the weight is very dull plastic so it will have a coat of gloss black all over. And after the trouble with the french customs i had the britains T7.315 was cheaper than the front weight  i ordered from France, all that was wrong with the T7.315 was a badly damaged box, so very happy

I bought the britains T7.315 solely for its front weight but rather sell it with its missing front weight and damaged box i thought i would keep it,so i will source another front weight, i have reduced the rear wheel track, added a driver and will paint the rear axle bars correctly and paint the rear mudguard extensions which britains missed, add numberplate and might source better beacons

Hi Andy

first remove rear wheels then unscrew the cab via the screws underneath the rear mudguards, pop bonnet off and remove screw then  put the driver in, britains drivers are smaller than siku drivers and fit in easier than the siku ones👍

Universal hobbies DB 1490 and a britains DB 1210 for its rear wheels, 1210 dismantled, britains wheels need work to the inner hubs to fit on the 1490, rear wheels only offered up to the 1490 at the moment

I reckon you could get away with them rims Paul.  This is a 996 that belongs to a neighbour of mine. He has quite a large collection of DBs. But the rims are square dish type on this model. Probably the tail end of the models production run with this style Sekura cab.

Next up is this ih 845XL, after a chat with 844 john if i turn this into an 885XL it will not be correct, i knew the front grill was wrong as well as the rear wheels and the wheelbase is wrong, the 845XL is a bigger tractor than the 885,but Johns vast knowledge has raised some other points i never new about, so i either keep it as it is allthough the rear wheels would still need to changed imo for a 845,or i carry on with an inaccurate 885XL. I have bought an atlas ford 5000 for its  rear wheels that are right for a 885 and an exhaust that is right for a 885, luckily i got the atlas ford 5000 for only £14 so no hardship if i dont use it or i will re sell it, still undecided what to do🤦‍♂️

First problem is going to be getting the cab off with out making any damage, the cab is not screwed on like uh models, it still has tabs coming through above the rear wheels but the tabs are glued on, might be able to cut the tabs off

Ok, first job and a fiddly one, there were no holes in the clevis so with a very small drill bit i drilled through the clevis and added a tow pin, i have in the pictures mocked up the wheels from the atlas ford 5000 and added the original tyres and mocked up the exhaust, this is if i do a 885XL version which i know wont be accurate, but i might be doing a 856XL

Next job on the list is to try and get the cab off, the cab and floorpan come off easy enough its getting the cab away from the floorpan. The cab has tabs above the rear wheels like uh models but not screwed, the tabs are glued so that will be attempted at the weekend
