After getting a new New Holland the other day, I've decided to change ownership of the farmyard. It is now owned by the New Holland men who do slurry and tillage contracting as well as run a small suckler herd. They run a T7.060, T6.180, T6.175, TW25, FORD 4000 for logsplitting, JCB 526S LOADALL, and a BOBCAT. No doubt their fleet will grow rapidly over the next while. They've already got a builder over to see about putting up a new shed on a bit of land beside the lane because their yard is a bit cramped at the moment. They've just done 2nd cut bales which they don't need so they are selling them.

¹Contractors here have got the lads in to do a bit of work for this shed that they'll be putting up. The land is a bit of a slope so there'll be a bit of stuff to pull out of one end to level the site to begin with. Then we'll take down the old fencing and walls and start digging foundations.

Site well levelled and cleared, now breaking and removing old concrete which will be too high for the new shed. It's also badly cracked and in need of repairing. We'll be ready to start foundations first thing in the morning.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but we've got the shed up. We're now drawing in gravel for the front in readiness for concrete, as well as drawing back the old soil and gravel that was dug out and putting it at the far end of the shed to fill up the gap.

Long overdue update, shed all finished with concrete and a wash bay. We traded in our old loadall for a tm310s. We considered a tm 420 but thought it'd be a bit big for our small yard and sheds, so we made a good deal on a tm310s with low hours in mint condition so we just got it today and we've already been putting her as well as our new dung spreader to the test.

Well folks, it has been quite a while since I've posted anything here let alone been on the forum at all. But with this virus and me not having to go to school or anything like that it's giving me a chance to catch up on things. So here it is. Although I've been quiet here, I haven't been so quiet on the layout with plenty of buying and selling of stock and machinery. The farm is still owned by the same contractors, and their business I'd continuing to grow now that all five brothers are involved in the business. They still have a relatively small herd of beef cattle, which is really just a hobby, as well as a few sheep. The contracting side of things has really took off, and they have made quite a few purchases recently including a 7480 massey, a 5712 massey, two new bogballe spreaders, only to name the big equipment. A garage was recently built beside the house for timber processing, and only last weekend the scrapheap beside and behind the house was cleared to allow additional space for the storing of aggregates and equipment for the groundworks side of the business. Watch this space for more updates on the business....:)

Any questions please do ask.

Looking good there, like the MF 7480, wish I had kept one now!

Aye I only got that about a month ago second hand from a friend, I still have to see if I can get a weight made for it as my friend took it off for some reason:unsure:

To be honest the weight sticking out so far was what put me off it!

haha! The original one did seem a bit odd looking on it but hopefully I'll be able to make up one which will be more proportionate to the machine. Trouble is he removed the link arms too so I'll have to make them up aswell.
