tiking
I will use this thread to post all of my truck builds for those who might want to get some inspiration to weather their own small scale trucks. These ones are 1/24 scale.. If it is alright with everyone: Scania 142H ---------------------------------- Old Scania Flatbed: --------------------------------------- DAF 95 Backyard Diorama: ------------------------------------------------ Tyre Haul:

tiking
Another truck, in this case a trailer diorama: Truck Loading Bay: --------------------------------------------- It’s been mix feelings with this Heller kit. But seeing that it was a very old kit and compromises were taken into account, I now learn my way around such discrepancies in this kit. All-in-all, it was an ‘OK’ build, despite my frustrations. Barlas Pehlivan, was also kind to help answer some of my annoying questions, concerning this kit. So kudos to him. My apologies for the pics. I will take better ones later. It was very windy outside today and I could not get the right photos I wanted. Oh well, you can’t win every time. Hope you enjoy the photos regardless. I also added some wip photos o the interior, as it was difficult to get good shots of the interior after the roof and doors were install.

tiking
MAN - Burnt Out Cab: I been experimenting lately with different burnt out effects lately. As you can see in some pics I have tried simulating carbon fibers as they literally tear into almost thread-like material, by using disinfection wipes. It looks 'OK' but not quite perfect. I have added more modulation effects on the cab and more weathering on the overall cab and truck as a whole. The right tyre is flat. It is difficult to tell with all the ashes surrounding it. And yes, my reference photo had a similar attribute. I know most would wonder why the right tyre did not get burnt to a crisp like the left tyre... In most cases depending on the degree of the fire and where it was most intense. I have seen photos with similar attributes. I think , I am satisfied with the results , especially, after taking some outside photos of the model. What do you guys think?
fordmajor
Wow fantastic if only they did all kits in 1 32. Weathering detail is second to none.

There is one that I did which is in 1/35. Close. But there are trucks with trailers now in 1/32 scale.

844john
I can only echo what everyone else has said, absolutely stunning work. I love the attention to detail, especially all the little extras in the cabs (including the "artistic" poster in the Volvo's cab)Definitely some the best weathering I've seen!
