Belarusfan
Probably a bit late now but this one has a single 'spike' in the middle... \
SMurF
I have and ues a Browns carrier and it has a bar that sits in the middle at the bottom and extends all the way to the front it is detachable but i've found if it is taken out the bales fold upwards when grabbed and are then useless to put down to be moved again they fall over does this make sense \ shall take a photo of it tommorrow
Tractorman810
yeah smurf it does mate, a bit like that one in belarus 's pics all the top bales have dropped on that one any pics are welcome for info, but think i will stick to the fake foam bale stacks ,will be a lot easier to do that way, less weight on it , hey belarus those pics look just like my combo, you been up in my loft taking pics mate :D

sparrow legs
sean, were i work we borrow one of two carriers, neither have a central bar that runs on the floor when picking the stact up but i belive they do grip the bottom bales tighter as described above (extra metal welded in ie on farm modification / bodge) a local contractor has a new browns carrier for moving 12 mini hestons and it has a central bar ie i belive the newer ones do and the older ones dont! a few 56 ones have been modified to carrie mini hestons but dont work over well, dropped stacks all over! Tractorman810
right guys how does this blue look for the cookes version, still need to add hoses and paint the ran silver, but not to far of finishing, if you recon the colours ok i will be spraying the bale sledge this weekend to, ,
Tractorman810
unfortunatly she wont lift the stack no matter what i have tried so will have to be the foam versions for show, shame really, i did think the extra bars on the sides would grip it ok to

SMurF
Lools well smart sean but I'd convert it to spool valve operation as no man has arms long enough to reach them leavers
Tractorman810
yeah bit of a minor mishap/measurement there, ,might have to move them into the cablike that after all,
SMurF
converted my real one years ago and what a god send it was too
Tractorman810
mmm got the holes drilled for tha hoses anyway so not to hard to move the box inside,
SMurF
Just plugged the real one into the spool valves and dispoded of the box just put some pipes to the spools and leave the box where it is but disconected
Tractorman810
ah even better idea that, might just see how easy it would be to extend the current version,as it does look nice with the leavers, ,just a pig it wont lift the bales, although i do have some nice yellow foam i can use all being well
SMurF
cool look forwards to the finished item
Tractorman810
might try and see if i can chop the foam down to bale size, use it in the grab ect then to
SMurF
Have you thought of making the block of foam the right size for the stack then hot wiring the bales into it as you could have fun making the bales not look like a big block or a load of bales just waiting to fall all over the floor
Tractorman810
yeah have cut out a test bale stack for that ,might be the best way to do it really, as i want to make a small 9 bale stack lifter like someones pics on here a while back for the front of the 550 for the 70's pics, so i could play round with different sizes a lot easier
