As everyoen has said, its a stupid way to sell a collection. I can only imagine it is because the seller is suffering from some personal crisis and has to sell quick. Impending divorce perhaps? Or his wife threatening to divorce if he doesn't sell the collection?

Or his wife threatening to divorce if he doesn't sell the collection? I couldn't agree more. I have sold collections as collections but have used a specialist agency (well worth the fee). If he went to a specialist toy auctioneers they would advise on whether to sell complete or split into smaller lots as they know the market. I cannot see even a large dealer buying at that price
