Getting a 4 figure refund from an Insurance company. Got a renewal letter through the post for a policy that should have been cancelled when when we took out a multicar policy with them, Needless to say they were very apologetic and made an immediate refund which was a good bonus for the new year. -

Had a secret santa here at work. Got a quiz book and adult game and a book called how not to be the perfect boss. Wait and see what Santa has left me when I get home on the 27th. -

Busy at work, no rest for the wicked Oil man. Away to finish my shift in about an hour, then to the Gym for an hour then phone the family before bed. Tonight we have our Christmas meal. Tonight's menu is to start: King Scallops black pudding and langoustines, or chicken liver pate or smoked duck breast. Followed by turkey or Balsamic fillet steak or venison or some of all of them. Probably watching films tonight as long as it all stays quiet.

Have had snow over the past couple of days about 4 inches in total. Very wet sleety snow today has slushed everything up making pavements and roads trecherous mixed in with -3 at present leaving every surface glistening with ice.

Snow chains or snow socks?
robl12 replied to CMB's topic in General Discussion / Off topic discussion & Everything Else
Must say we recently looked at these for my wifes clio, in the end we went for winter tyres. Reason being is that they recommend taking them off once past the snowy area and my wife was not comfortable putting them on and off. We also got a good deal on the winter tyres even wif we hadn't had snow the road handling in wet conditions is great. Recent studies say that you can use them all year round in the uk with no real change in mileage out of the tyres. -

2 Vredstein snowtrac3 winter tyres for the renault clio along with 2 new semperit back tyres after a pucture, both needed replacing shortly but bit the bullet with the puncture. Oh and 500 litres of heating oil and 2 snow shovels getting ready for winter from what we have heard it is not far away now.

Well spent saturday getting tyres sorted for my wifes car after she got a puncture so 2 new back tyres and picked up 2 winter tyres to be fitted at a later date. Then spent saturday and sunday with the kids chasing combines. Eldest son ended up at my dads work in one of there combines and then ended up stood in a field on sunday watching a TX32 and 8070 with a 3 year old boy who loved it.
