Only just found this topic Graham,.....god knows how I missed it.
Blooming amazing mate,...........looking forward to toytrac this year to see what youve been up to......
:of :of :of ,..............not GENUINE washers,.........you disappoint me young man..... >
Off to the naughty corner with you ...... :police:
Will have to post you some.....
just hope the weather comes right later on Sean,...we need the two cuts.Just hope we soon get some warmer weather and rain before too long because the barley is well out in ear and the rape has finished flowering and podding up (not as good as last year)
I have never seen cracks in the ground in the arable crops this early in the year,......you can get your hand down some of them.
I expect that when the rain comes it wont stop for a month..............
Wont be cutting until after the weekend,...........had a good walk round the fields and I reckon we will be 30 to 40 percent short,.......everyones in the same boat in this area. A neighbour up the road from us done his first cut at the weekend and last year off the same acreage he got 105 loads,..........this year he got 49.
Worrying isn't it...........
Probably be mowing sunday weather forecast permitting,.......getting itchy feet now plus we have more acres of grass so that will bulk up whats missing.
Gonna have to hand paint some parts because I wont be able to get at them once its finished...
Thanks Thomas.
Will have to post some pictures from the brochure Dan,......they all show the machine cutting an airfield.
So am I Marcus.....
Will do Barry.
A while ago we made a new purchase and I decided to set myself a challenge.............
Just a few pictures of progress so far,.....a very tricky build and a long way to go with it......
I have been tinkering with this on and off between doing the rakes and I reckon I am halfway through.
Not looking forward to painting this one........
Wont be at it for at least two weeks down here,...never known such a long cold spell during april and may. Most of the leys are about 6 inches tall at the moment apart from the 20 acres we put the dirty water on all winter.
with the massive lift capacity of tractors these days Sean, there are many of the big arable boys who fill the spreader up with say 5 bags or more (thats 3 ton plus), then put another couple on top with the crane, to save a bit of time.
These extra couple of bags are the problem, putting the machine beyond its designed capacity. Most people around us here that have cranes fitted have adopted this system,....saving them a bit of time.
No Graham,......we use the JCB loadall system.... ,.......we have a kuhn spreader and they WILL NOT warrant the machine if a crane is fitted...
Plumpton college wanted a Kuhn but use a crane so they had to get a KRM spreader instead.Several farms around us have cranes fitted though...
thought that may put your mind at ease..........
Cant wait to take this new major batwing out on its inaugural flight and see if it outperforms the McConnell....
