    My weeks work

don't you go 3 layers with the bales then ? good pics :)
  3. nice pics ricky :) never seen anyone strike out on the tramlines on the headland before though , most of us just spuddle about in the gateway then harvest agaisnt the hedge & bugger about in the corners :D
  4. outstanding pics as usual david , always good to see whats going on over your way, is it just the one combine you're running ? you said earlier in the year that it's been slightly wetter now than most years , have you had any serious problems with the harvesting , & i thought the norm for you guys out there was to put duals on the harvesters but i see you have wide chunkers on the deere any reason for this ?
  5. look really good sean , but i think i may have to re-decal mine to a 3125 or a 3650 as yours look much beefier now it's got those wheels on
  6. nah ,it's a shame really mike they were damn good tractors to work , i spose it'd be a job for the resin boys to sort something
  7. the 390's are getting a bit long in the tooth really tris , & those available are probably past their best now. i could see why you'd want a 7740 smish, as they go they're almost bombproof, but like you say finding a good one will be the hard part as you well found out before you bought the deere, if looking for a red then a 3070 wouldn't be too bad for what you want. some of the 6000series mezza valmets arn't bad either , very good power to weight ratio & lovely loader tractors
  8. you have to badge them up as 36's now mark :) would still like to see one as a 4055
  9. well i have to agree the 525 was at a distinct advantage over the 410 in the end as the 410 cought fire :D got a pic of it somewhere
  10. i would imagine anything obsolete in a box would be worth getting , even if it's a long term investment
  11. went for the claas as they are damn good combines , very efficient, gives a good sample & pretty reliable from my somewhat limited experience one with a cab would also be an option the 525 would have been another choice as it was one of the first combines i drove , along with the MF 410 really good weight distribution for hills , as the front mounted engine gave it a bit more traction , but not a great sample , & much of it went out over the back as well. the joke used to be 'if you want a complete one pass operation , get an MF 520 / 525' it saves buying a plough & a drill :D don't know anything about leverada & my knoledge on NH is negligable so i really can't comment
  12. typical a telegraph pole smack in the middle of nowhere :D
  13. what chassis is the first 690 on sean ? & whats the bonnet, the new one needs the light surround to be blackened. you really should post a pic of your complete MF collection like i have , it would be a fantastic line up :)
  14. side by side ,looks like you'll have to call the new one a 698, here's a pic for finishing her if you need it this is one i used to drive at Cricket Malherbie Estate, it was well knackered when i had it , but managed to sort of tidy her up, but hydraulic failure was her downfall, used to do 90% of all fert spreading, but on a steep hill when turning to go back down the lift arms used to drop & the PTO would stop managed to re-route all the cab electrics into a single feed to a crocadile clip & clip it onto the alternator , it was a C reg so it was before the adjustable steering wheel was standard fitment , the rubber cab mountings were shot , so it was a very noisy & harsh ride , not the best i've driven , but used it to spread fert on some of the steepest slopes on the farm that wern't usually done & when hauling maize ,it never got stuck once , although the massy 100 tanker did cause it a few problems , when spreading on steep maize stubble when it was wet, it was also the hedge trimming tractor , it was later replaced with a 698T 4wd , which was as new :), in the end i'd rather drive the 698T than the 3080 for many jobs
  15. do you still have the other 690 convo sean , would be good to see them side by side for a comparison :)
  16. still recon AW trailer are pretty well built , still using the original design by COLLINS, AW have certainly turned the company's fortunes around
  17. this was wrecked anyway mate thats the only reason i would cut a tractor
  18. thought you'd enjoy the second pic scot :D came good in the end though
  19. ideal for an irrigator or for running a grain drier
  20. have built this one to be moved by linkage
  21. i'll never get round to finishing that 7710 tanker , so i found another use for it
  22. sorry mate i'll try sending them via e-mail . the ilminster by-pass runs right through dillington estate so you may be lucky tris
