  1. that last side profile pic looks bang on the mark nigel :) every thing about he size ,even the wheels look right , apart from having half the engine in the cab of course :D i think seans 550 may be better off as a 565 ? see if you can find some of the very early dunlop type tyres from the original TW20's as they were slightly wider than the ones from the last of them like the 5610
  2. now, now, young padwhan to truly appreciate the force of the tractor , none should cast doubt on each others ability ,no mater what colour they may be , it is a genuine tractor enthusiast that can see his own favored brands failures as well as the company brands it opposes, look beyond the colour & you will see the same machine in all ,good & bad , wether it be a vinyard tractor in the privinces of europe to the great beasts of the american praries, look at them all & you will truly appreciate the beauty of all. BUT there can be no doubt from any that the greatest creation set the standard for all to meet [move]TE 20 IS THE DADDY[/move]
  3. funnily enough i recon the 362 looks better as a 2wd than a 4wd
  4. trouble was the deutz 6.50 & the mf 2680 were all kitted out with white wheels & finishings during the same period very likely :D :D
  5. don't really want to step on anyones toes but 'hate' is a rather strong word to be useing isn't it chaps \
  6. with the cab roof looking as it does it was obviously on a dairy farm :D :D shame britains didn't bother to cast the wheels & cab in massy silver / gray
  7. rather than put up a new topic , here's my 2wd MF tractors 362, 595,2640,& 6180 :)
  8. this wouldn't of looked too bad sean but not going to break a decent cab to try it \
  9. yes but the words she actually used was headless corpse , i'd hide the sharp cutlery if i were you mate :D :D
  10. just martin & luke left to work on now ben :D :D but i think barrys a hopeless case , but thats fine , we can trust him right
  11. now thats what i call a couple of good conversions :D
  12. kept that one quiet sean haw, he, haw, he, haw , monsier you are teasing us no ?
  13. seems unlikely now as ROS have dicontinued the 3070 of which these cabs come from , & i've got two 3680 chassis waiting for them
  14. back then as you'll remember marky a workshop to most farmers was a frivolous waste of a shed ,for most the'workshop' would have been a dissused stable fitted out with nothing but a 45 gal drum of oil , & a tool box of tools that dated back to the second world war, donkey jackets of various sizes strewn all over the place , insecticides & weedkillers perched on the nearest available defunct dresser that had 1 useable door & the drawers filled with instruction manuals for how to shoe the horse, always a collection of odd wellingtons that when gathered up wouldn't make a pair & still not thrown out , every conceveable size of drive belt & chains that didn't fit any of the machines on the farm, grease guns that had more grease on them than in them, a box of rusty broken cutterbar knife sections , 5 hammer heads with no handles' 2 old packs of sizal twine , a collection of top links with the threads striped, a pile of seized stableiser chains, an old sythe hung on the back wall, covering a service chart for an international titan or the threashing machine , a brand new packet of shearbolts for the baler that always got moved to somewhere safe till they were needed & never found again, except to be moved to somewhere safe , and of course the good old saucy postcard from a sea-side resort, tucked behind the electrical wire that lead to the light switch & to top it all the pigeons that roosted in the eaves sh!t on everything Blimey having a shed with a full concrete floor was a luxury, it was usually just a few feet by the door way, the rest was aal packed dirt , or hardcore. I can remember the 590 2wd being split for a clutch change on a concrete sugarbeet pad at the edge of a field , back then the fitters would be out in thewind & rain to get the job done
  15. i think OLD FORD has a pic here with his major topper on a ford 6600 & he said the 66 was light on the front & thats got a longer wheelbase & all metal, so the short 362 will definately dance
  16. you can stand behind me & hide from tris marky, as his sideburns no longer scare me :D nice pics rob, good to see an oldie still at it & in good condition as well i always thought the 165 was a fantastic tractor for baling with
  17. yeah i was quite pleased the way it came out as well tris :) some real good pics there gggb nice to see thr fendt combining , different than seeing the usual suspects ie; class, MF & NH round our way, although there are a few dronembergs in their own livery around here as well
  18. some nice gear there 550 that 4.57 doesn't look bad as a 2wd & 3070 looks very right with a loader on it
  19. it's not a tipper body BGU it was a britains vicon fert spreader , that was going to be originaly broken to make a mounted version , in years gone past , but it was fitted to the mog recently, with spray booms to be used as a fert / seed applicator, unfortunately it has been fixed to the chassis & is there to stay for the time being anyway more pics http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=9170.0
