  9. those combines are from Russia arent they? i think there was something in classic tractor about them a while back
  10. next tractors im after will be a mf 6480, 6495 and a 7480 and a uh fendt 818 and 820 but theyll have to wait till i can afford them
  11. i agree with tris here, the 6910 jd would be good but i wouldnt spend that kind of money on one starting out, id consider a fiat 110-90 or something till i got started, there bomb proof and pull like a train. might be a bit small for handling some kit but ideal for getting a foot in the door, you can always get bigger once you create a bit of a name for yourself
  12. very nice, is that your jd with the drill on front then?
  13. my dirt bike broke down on the beach, had to push the thing about 2 miles through the sand till i got to the nearest road, then about another mile home am exhausted now and drinking a big bottle of water

  18. 300hp phew thats alot id have though ud get away with a bit less then that, the biggest tractor in my fleet up to yesterday was a jd 7920 but its since beening passed out by a mf 8270 there rated at about 260hp if i get the baler il try her out on it
  19. the baler looks huge how do you find her performance wise Mike im thinking of getting one, how would they perform in straw
  20. thanks Jason, good thinking il pm them tomorrow cheers
  21. Any body out there have any experience with this make of quick hitch? if so what were yere impressions of them? As i said earlier im looking for a track machine at the moment and have narrowed the search down to two fairly strong looking contenders one is a hitachi ex 120 - 5 thats is pretty well kitted out i.e piped, good pads, 3 buckets, quick hitch, check valves etc etc, the other is a zaxis 120 which is kitted out to a slightly better spec and has wider pads but is a bit dearer too, but im not overly worried about that! resale value later on will come into it. my problem is both have rapid quick hitches fitted already and im not too sure about them \ they look heavy and not as strong as id like. im thinking it would be better to take this hitch off and put on a dromone one? anyone have opinions?
