  1. Thanks for the comments. It will take time to get it all on there, but hopefully there will be something for everyone! Another good thing is the ability to buy now, and then collect / pay at Spalding which should make it easier!
  2. Yes Sean, I have about 25 boxes to work through, but they will all go on there.
  3. Some pictures may not appear as they are supposed too...currently being sorted out!
  4. Right... Pleased to say that Farm Toys World is now open, and ready for business. It has the first few dozen items of stock uploaded, with much much more to be added. I am finishing off the customised look of the shop so have put a temp layout for the first few weeks. There will also be a few tweaks here and there too. If anyone finds any "bugs" please let me know. You can find the site at www.farmtoysworld.com or www.agrimodels.co.uk For anyone who does not know, the shop stock is based on the stall my dad has at the Spalding shows.
  5. I was suprised too. It seems that people perhaps percieve ranges such as weise and wiking to be at the forefront of the hobby, but then still collect the Britains items. I guess its the sales that count at the end of the day regardless of whether an item is beautifully crafted or not.
  6. Theres certainly plenty to go at. Have got several questions still to churn through :'( I guess the important thing to do is draw a bottom line... and at this stage it appears for Britains case.. Doing ok, collectors still have faith but must do better What does everyone else think?
  7. Last bit for now. These two graphs break down the top rated and bottom rated models for 2008
  8. You were then asked to rate the Britains 2008 range and the brand in general, together with the models if purchased, on a scale of 1 to 6
  9. You were asked to rank the model ranges available in order from 1 - 10. So Rank 1 is the top rated model range, rank 10 is the lowest rated model range. Highest % on each graph denotes the top selected range for that particular rank.
  10. I will be releasing the results in a steady stream as it takes some time to get all the data processed etc.. Here is the first chunk of data for the first few questions..
  11. FTF will be going and I will putting up the display again. Watch out for a more interactive display this time too Dont forget the travel lodge at Springfields. Only 40 rooms available and only 400 yards from the exhibition halls.
  12. Only two days left now to submit your responses... One person will be recieving the RC JD 7930, to be drawn early Wednesday.
  13. Many thanks again to all of you whom have replied with their responses on this survey. It must be one of the largest feedback exercises conducted on the Britains brand. We have now over 15,000 words of feedback amongst the 300 or so replies. There is still time for those who have not yet submitted their views, and I hope to submit the results early January.
  14. We have our Xmas party today. Although it's a fairly unexciting affair consisting of a Christmas lunch and afternoon quiz. The whole thing should be finished by 4ish
  15. Thanks Nigel It is a good model for its time Mark. Very good detail included, which must have cost a fortune in those days to mould!
  16. The battery I was told is different to the siku one, they wanted one that lasts longer by all accounts so the only place it could go is where it is. I think there target audience being ages 3 - 12 also played a part with the battery being on the back.
  17. I think kids will enjoy it. Ive got one heading your way for a review simon, but not before having a go! A mates 6yr old had a good half hour playing with it and was pretty happy. Its most certainly not aimed at us adult kiddies. Definitely a young person toy.
  18. Speaking to them last week, this year has been particularly difficult in getting new product developed (as we have seen with the County delay) due to so many other products coming through (non farm or not Britains). In effect, the majority of RC2 / Learning curve products go through the same chanel of engineers in HK meaning that the big big sellers get priority. This may mean some farm items have to wait, ertl or Britains. Sales are up, and investment in new product is high so there is certainly no shortage in product development on the farm range. There are some fantastic products in pre production stage, of which FTF has played a large part in working towards (future FTF models) so I will maintain my confidence with them for 2009. Another interesting point is the survey we have been running. Out of all of the responses so far, many of you will be interested to know that of everyone voting so far (300+ people), even though UH is in front in terms of collectibility, Britains is only 10 or so votes behind in second.
  19. I know this topic comes up time and time again with regards to poor opinions on current RC2 product but they really are listening and people should not read too much into the initial announcements for 2009. There is a great deal of projects nearing completion and I can't see any reason why they would not appear next year (Summer).
  20. From the meetings I do attend with RC2, we have never taken any solid, to the point, stats relating to the Britains brand, so it was dicussed last time that we would trial a new format of collecting feedback. Britains do obtain feedback from some of their main dealer customers naturally, but it has been seen for some time now that for the collectors market, their natural resource is FTF, which we willingly oblidge. Im not sure how much these surverys cost third party, but I suspect it saves them a pretty penny too.
  21. Great pics of what looks like a great show! Next year I will definitely be attending!
  22. Given the success of this new format so far with the Britains questions, I am inclined to publish other surveys, perhaps more general ones, to attain a broader picture of the hobby.
  23. Many thanks for all of your responses so far! We have had 141 on the first day so its a great start. I will give everyone a summary of the results once the survey has completed, and I am sure we will all be interested to see the final outcome.
  24. Dear All, We have compiled a short end of year survey on behalf of RC2 Britains in order to determine your opinions on the Britains brand for 2008 in general. It will enable opinions, ideas and suggestions to be collated quickly and easily, and give everyone, a chance to voice their opinion on the 2008 performance by RC2 UK. As part of the survey, Farm Toys Forum will be offering the new 1/32 John Deere Radio Controlled 7930 tractor to a random entrant. The closing date for submitting your reponses is 31st December with the lucky entrant being drawn the same morning as the FTF Christmas raffle. This is a serious exercise that helps to maintain FTF's relationship with RC2, so I thank all of you who take your time to submit your respected and important opinions. You can find the survey by clicking the link below: http://farmtoysforum.com/survey/index.php?sid=57627&lang=en or by visiting the FTF homepage. Many thanks for your support Farm Toys Forum
  25. I have a press release image just recieved in from RC2.
