  1. Yeah she's gone back :'( :'( Not going to be trying anything else as we have no work left for one to do now after tomorrow/Saturday morning. Not looking to change a tractor till 2010 anyway, dealer just wanted to get a foot in the door. I'm happy not to try anything else anyway as I felt quite at home in the Axion and would have one anyday, in fact it felt really claustrophobic getting back in the 6920s yesterday after having such a big and light cab on the Axion
  2. 23.9l/hr isn't bad when you consider it was on a 5 leg subsoiler in very hard ground that had had over wintered cattle on it. When you work it out to l/ha though its just over 14 which is very good for any tractor on that job.
  3. If we did get one it would be on 20.8 tyres as anything bigger than that would mean that we needed a couple of extra sets of wheels for it as 710's and 650's are too big for bed work, as it is I have a 16" set for harvesting. The chance of it being a Deere when its changed are slim to none, I don't want one and neither does anyone else on the place after the trouble we've had with them, the 30 series are not going down any better locally either. Got another 6 acres of spuds to get in into extremely dry, dust bowl conditions, just no moisture in the soil at all after I've put the bed tiller in it Transmission is the same as the TVT/CVX basically Ol as it's built by ZF, Claas have just done the software for it and done a damn good job in the process, much better than the CVX I drove last year. Jez, it used quite a bit less diesel than my 6920s does doing the same sort of work which was good. Dealer is good as well, samee branch that used to look after my old Renault so I have a good relationship with them
  4. Some dishwashers have a filter on the inlet pipe Sean, may be worth checking the handbook to see if thats the case
  5. I know what you mean there, no where I could put a bigger one really though without some landscaping being done. The white wall there is south facing so its an ideal site, the building will give in shelter from the north winds in the winter
  6. A few updated pics for you now, everything is now up, potatoes are doing well and might have some radishes for next weekend. Got the greenhouse up and running now with tomatoes, cucumbers and marrows in. Went for a 10 x 6 as they were on offer with a free base and free delivery for £25 more than an 8x6 so seemed a good idea
  7. A text I just got off Rod who's on our de-stoner saying the intake web had just bust again, thats the fourth one its done in two weeks > >
  8. Finished erecting my greenhouse today, screwed it down and then glazed it, didn't break any panes either
  9. This when I found it on another forum :D http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/8017391.stm
  10. It's how I took the pic James I think the boss knows how happy I am to have a Claas again
  11. Probably won't be trying anything else just yet as we're almost worked up, not that I'm overly interested in anything else now And as you asked so nicely yesterday Blake here's a video Shame it was a bit breezey though \
  12. Put it this way Blake, if I could give them my 6920s for it I would without a doubt, its just a much nicer tractor to use and sit in all day. Will be interesting to see what an 810 comes in at with front linkage and pto. It drives the same way as a TVT or CVX with having a ZF transmission but Claas have done a better job with the transmission software in my opinion
  13. Subsoiling this afternoon CEBIS readout for the field I subsoiled showing fuel usage per hour, per hectare and in total
  14. Heres a few more Axion pics for you all Bedforming this morning
  15. We very rarely have stuff on demo, had alot of ploughs on demo as we needed a new one and have now ordered a Lemken. As for the tractor well the dealer asked if we'd like to try one and boss said yes as we're fed up with John Deeres, got a new sprayer coming for next year so possibly be a tractor as well
  16. Cheers. Have you had your eyes tested lately? Take a look at the picture of the Axion, think it'll answer your question :D :D
  17. Yeah it has, full cab, front axle and lift arm suspension. Still think its the best conventional tractor suspension on the market
  18. Pics and video will come tomorrow Well I've only had it for an hour today but so far I'm very impressed..........I WANT ONE!! :D I thought Wiking made the Axion.........
  19. Thanks. It is on demo, bit big for us but the 810 would be spot on for our needs, handles the sub-soiler much better than my 6920s
  20. Now just to annoy Blake a few of the Axion 820, will get some more tomorrow Armrest with transmission controller (little stick), spool controls (big stick and two switches) along with hitch and engine management controls Dash console with engine revs and ground speed read outs CEBIS computer giving speed readouts and tractor performance monitoring
  21. Was quite pleased with that run, 720m long, still no gps
  22. Heres a few pictures from this week, bed tilling headlands in front of the de-stoner Speed at top and pto speed Had to top some left over kale on a potato field, started with our topper but burnt out the slip clutch so we borrowed Rod's (6600 owner/driver) flail mower, done a hell of a job to it Before After
  23. The Axion finally turned up this afternoon ;D ;D got it till Monday or Tuesday ;D ;D ;D
  24. Its been talked about for a little while for two reasons, one is the amount of trouble mine is with it being main tractor and the other being that mine isn't really big enough for what is asked of it now with the increased amount of subsoiling we do. Apparently rep came in the yard today asking if we wanted a demo, boss knows that I like them so agreed, did mention in the branch last time I was there that we would be looking at them when mine was changed so the jungle drums must have been beating You will even more when I tell you that my mate has an 820 C-Matic I can play on if I'm that way
  25. Being told I have a Claas Axion C-Matic coming on demo tomorrow ;D ;D ;D ;D
