  1. Hahah, here's where Smithy and John being innocent both say they've never had a lass in the barn for a bit of fun in the hay on a summers night during their courting years...... As for posing.... nah i'm no model for that kind of thing haha but i've no doubt James sculpting skills are up to the task though
  2. Looking forward to seeing this at Penrith James as for what else laying about in the barn, what about the farmers son trying his luck with lass from the farm next door
  3. Cracking John, With your Matbro and this JCB i reckon you should be well in the running for Scratch builder of the year 2018
  4. Thanks for the comments and likes lads, Aye Andy done a great job converting the the original Spec-cast John Deere 2020, and the Moore must have taken a bit of work especially to spring it all underneath. Although i'm quite surprised that one of you didn't comment about the missing toplink .... there is one i just not got round to fitting it yet
  5. Also added to the collection at the recent HEMS show at Burnley was Andy's Moore Undrill handy for stitching in a bit of new grass seed, all fully sprung coulters and wheels, Rob Symonds runs one of these behind an 804, reckon the exhaust note and that turbo whistle be pure music when he's got her in the ground and pulling hard
  6. A little addition, a Spec-cast John Deere 2020 that's been given a few extra's by Andy at Classic, it's had new wheels and tyres all round, new front axle, new linkage, Duncan cab, tool box, seat to make it a Euro spec tractor that we would more commonly see here in the UK, as mentioned there was one of these local when i was mid primary school age, The farm still has a Deere, a 6320 2wd, Great work again by Andy even the tray in the toolbox lifts out
  7. Thanks Martin There be something at Penrith along with the odd Nuff and Leyland
  8. Cheers, it is a nice tractor, when i was mid primary school age there was a Duncan cabbed 20 local they had it for years not sure if it had loader brackets on it as it dissappeared during the mid 90's. Will try and get some photo's tonight but It might sneak out at Penrith for you to have a look in the flesh John
  9. Cheers John, some of them haven't been out in daylight for 12 months The Duncan cabbed Deere is sat here now haha, a purchase off Andy, it's a spec cast 2020 that has Andy's cab and wings, new linkage, new front axle and set of wheels and tyres right round, even the toolbox has a lift out tray, will get some better photo's of that and the unidrill (another addition) for my collection thread
  10. Your becoming a bit of a legend with these builds John..... looks cracking well done
  11. Had a day at the HEMS (Heavy Equipment Model Show) yesterday with a few models, a few photo's alot of 50th scale there but a nice looking 35th scale drill rig for a dio
  12. Nice looking trailer Martin, will be a cracking match to your 717 for a proper classic rig, i'm sure Justin will agree a 4000 or 4600 would look the 'berries on that trailer though If your going back to your teenage memories in 32nd models won't you be in need of adding a Leyland or two to the collection
  13. Not a lot of play wear on them Justin, nice buys
  14. So much, mmm though really the original pick up on these that Mike used was off the Britains Claas 695 self propelled, i have an 819 brochure somewhere should hunt it out and compare the measurements, just taking the drive gears out of the side casing and refit the end might narrow it enough to look less bulky....
  15. Fantastic work as always John, i'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to tackle next
  16. Nice additions there Martin How much too wide do you think the reel is? i have one of Mike's 819's here nice build
  17. I'm seriously considering them John, to be fair she'll never be an 100% authentic tractor, as so far she's the wrong weights, wrong mirrors and a few other minor inacuracies for a concours so the mudguards are really only another minor but done well and they wont detract too much from what she is I've been offered a set of brackets but until i get an eye on them, might be better making my own up rather than butchering something from another tractor mmm pin and clip idea might consider that now you mentioned it Sean Cheers Martin Aye as i left the field was starting cutting up abit, hence the dirty tyres hahaha, but i'm impressed with the BKT's they've still got 95% of the little bobbles on them despite them covering a bit of road over the last 3 weeks, must have got the tracking something like right as there no immediate sign of uneven wear on the edges of the cleats. Aye Thomas said he'd enjoyed the run up by yours
  18. Thanks John , She got a quick wipe over before she got backed in the shed, just the windows need a clean, i can see the benefits of front mudguards would help immensely keeping the cab lower windows clean, even though they weren't standard fitment back then. Cheers John certainley a good day despite the weather, just a pity the Blades's didn't come on Thomas's run would have been a good photo a couple of their 100's and 125. Though Thomas did say he'd sold his caravan......
  19. Just picked on the day Sean, 2nd place went to a 35x and the first place and trophy went to a 4610
  20. Despite the wet grey dismal damp day i had a run over to the Hodder Valley Show at Slaidburn yesterday with the 804, Wasn't a great turn out of tractors until Thomas Woodhouse and the "Bentham Boys"showed up as they had organised a road run over to the show, Any one who's seen the Serious Grass series of DVDs by Tractor barn would have been happy as along with Thomas who's 6810 and 2100 synchro feature in the DVDs, there was Andrew Atkinson himself on his own 6810 but looking a bit beefier sat on 28's/38's rather then the 6810 that normal chopper driver Mark and Thomas's own sitting on 24's/34's Mark was piloting this as Thomas himself decided to give his 272H a run Being amongst the Legend that he is locally Thomas gave the 804 a once over and i've had his approval so i think i've bought myself a good one, which then came a bit of a shock later in the day to be awarded 3rd prize in the Vintage section without even having the thought i'd win anything, it was just enjoyable catching up with a few good friends and making a few new ones
  21. Was local road run yesterday, had other things on but got an hour or so as "shotgun" in little Daves Fastrac.... got a couple of photo's including Matt Simons latest turbo upgrade .... Some Nuffield now
  22. Be good to have a catch up at Penrith Iain, the Synchro box would have made it easier on the clamp, with 1st and reverse opposite each other it a simple shuttle change, bet the 472 were a handy enough tractor too. Great stuff joining the 1/16th club Thanks Martin, Cheers bud, aye the weights and new tyres have helped set her off from when she first arrived... next on the list is finding her the correct toolbox. Thanks Paul and your right models of the blue Leyland Synchro's and 6 potters, the Harvest Gold Leylands and laterly the Marshalls are so sadly lacking in model scale
  23. Thanks Justin Looking forward to having her out to the next one in a fortnight, might be a few different tractors at that one as it's a good bit further up the Valley Cheers Iain, You haven't missed much really as it spent abit of time in the workshop with the hubs and swivels being done up but she's a go'er now. That been good for you to track down your dads 2100, at least you still know it's around and not been scrapped or broken for parts, is she a 10 speed or Synchro? i'm sure if you keep asking you might get away at the current owner, i can see there be alot of sentiment attached to that as the 2100 will be remembered as part of the family. Are you hoping to get down to Penrith in November?
