well that 2 weeks of holiday went hellish quick, temps of mid 30βs for most of it topped of 40 for two days while in lisbon, nice easy 2.5 hour drive back this morn from southapton, left 7.30 home just before 10 , nice and quiet, no proper traffic to deal with, unlike the 4 and a half hours up on the sat two weeks ago

your not alone mate, not seen a combine working in ages now, all parked up, few people doing 2nd maybe 3rd cut grass, was speaking to a farmer today while getting some permission to work forms done on his land, and hes got a good 200 acres of beans sat, all ready to go,prob 2 weeks early, but cant get on the land, just way to wet, which is also compounded by it being steep hills as well, most of its gone black ,but also starting to fall over due to the water weight. wont be easy to lift now he recons.

MF Weise conversion to 699
Tractorman810 replied to mike whiting's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
yeah mines all uh based on a 3080 chassis , 690 bonnet extended, seen others on various chassis, not a uh 2000 one yet mind. they werent as big compared to a 2000 series MF from memory ?, we did try a 26?? to replace the 1250 but never did,the 1250 was better for what we needed , this is why i went the route i did, bar being longer bonnet wise, height wise and width i do not really remembers ours being much bigger overall to the pair of 690, and the swb 698t we had, just more grunt. wheel wise all ours were identical sizes rear wise , so puncture wise we could swap easily to keep going, with very flinty soil punctures were common , cant remember if the 690βs went up or the 699 came down size wise on the rears mind, been a good few years now -
just seen these two on facebook, from VAK, who did the fords last year, ford 7500 and a 5095 which i cant say i have heard of before . both look good for all you fordy lovers out there .

New New Holland combine spotted in Germany.
Tractorman810 replied to James Joe Dewar's topic in Other Farm Equipment
i really like that camo paint, way better than just black, -
not a great drive either, antwerp bypass is a pig, even when quiet, we would easily take a good 3-4 hours to zwolle, so the new place is prob 2-3 hours drive ,hence why we go from harwich now, all drive to markys place in cambridge and 1 car from there, lot easier driving the distance this side than that .

Britains massey ferguson 2680 tractor
Tractorman810 replied to Paul Palmer's topic in Britains Farm Models
very similar to the uh ones, just be extra carefull as the lug on the top of the casting can very easily split the top of the bonnet, and in some cases pull the mount through, the plastic can be hellish brittle -
a no for me this year as well, to close to my holiday and not enough leave left to cover it sadly ,we sort of knew when we left last years of the location, was just the dates to be confirmed

it does look pretty good in that grey camo stuff and black mind, and thats coming from someone whoβs not hugely into brand colour swaps, way better than the all black mf and fendt ideals -

looks a bit large, but how the hell would dragging a header that long on a road be legal, thats way over the length a trucks trailer can be without a permit to move isnt it?? saw a post today with a truck and trailer stopped by the old bill at 19m , at 15m then the draw bar, plus towing item thats going to be way over -
