got the 590 chassis finished and coated in mf stoneleigh grey, weight block sorted as well, and the opening door handles now sorted so the cabs sat masked up ready to paint red, before the silver top half goes on . and i can then fix the pannels all back on it, guess i need to sort the layout now to put these on, good few other bits waiting paint and finish to fit onto the 3 point linkages as well . also found two more replicagri 188’s i forgot about, so i may yet try a 600 series ? or a 300 series with them -
uh massey ferguson 8220/50 wheel sizes
Tractorman810 posted a question in Custom Model Methods/Tips/Help
can any one help with the overall diameter ,and width for the fronts and rear wheels on these please, got a one on the way minus its wheels, so could do with a rough size to find some replacements. missing front hitch isnt an issue . -
it is, my pics aint great, only on the mobile, need to get a old harrow out beside it, looks very much that sort of colour, its had an axel/rod through where i would expect it for a trailer chassis, but nothing on the other two holes at the back, the front ones have some marks, but the paints visible inside the holes, not sure what would attach there on the lorrys to be honest, dont have any

So its arrived, had a real good look and i think its ok not a respray . Its been fitted to something at some point , tail gates never been off as the ends of the pin are still flat, no green paint in there . Coats very even and looks like the same finish as the green one that came with it. Colours weird mind, its a more reddy brown than brown as the ebay pics suggested . Poss the same as the ld school harrows??? Need to find one to compare . Have no idea what its from mind truck or trailer . Not aware of any horse draw ones with this body fitted .

new buy of fleabay, just waiting for it, does anyone know what this trailer bodys off(left hand one) doesn't appear to have been resprayed going by pics, seems to be an early one with the two sets of tip hole points, not seen a old britains truck this colour before either .

just drill the rivet out on the series 3 front grill and same with the other, the line is visable but i thought it was just a mould line, tourns out its a open joint ,i think the later flat front ones will do the same as well, but you wont have the flared arch extensions ,but easily to add to the bodywork i suspect -
have a feeling last time i was up there in the summer, few years back now i saw a pair of class lexions working ,but didnt see anything drawing away from them , just looked at the nearest dealers to the main estate and only ben burges, which is a jd dealer ,has the royal warrant crest on their webpage so suspect its JD at a guess

i do remember that from the old gpt forum days as well joe, he did sell a few kits as well from memory, well of the 65 at least, dont recall the wheels artic one mind .

not had a lot of time recently for the shed, work and stuff at home for the grandkids , but decided to have a little play today, something simplish to get me going, before getting back to the tractors and tillage gear, one of james landy kits, along with a front end swap to a britains lwb landy. really want to get the other bits behind finished mind, plus maybe time allowing start the refurb of side b on the layout -
i was thinking more like this joe, the containers for the hook loaders are 75 odd quid, so this would be a fair bit more, seen them with top mount loading arms and all sorts added
-
some sort of body for the new marge hook loaders, slurry tanker or similar i recon.
