  1. I've a Senator on my list too. If anybody makes a Senator they will surely make the Ford version too. Never thought of the Armor-Salmon Cheetah. Rats!
  2. That was excellent guys. Great to see the article on GIY as well.
  3. And finally, pics of the 615 with it's smaller brother from the 90s, the Favorit 515C, and with it's spiritual successor, the 818Vario.
  4. In the 1980s Fendt revolutionised the tractor scene when they started bringing significant technological advances to the marketplace. The Favorit 600 series was at the cutting edge of tractor technology with the Turbomatik clutch, and the forerunner of the Vario transmission, then called Duospeed. The top model in the range was the 185hp Favorit 615LSA. This was the prime-mover of choice for all big tillage operations, and for those contractors who wanted to be at the cutting edge of technology. Britains released a model of the 615LSA in 1991, and even though it was mounted on a common chassis, and thus was not completely true to scale, it was a very good representation of this top-of-the-range tillage tractor, and it took pride of place as prime-mover on many thousands of carpet farms all over Europe. Weise Toys have released another model of the 615LSA in 2009. This is a precision model with every detail possible - including opening doors and windows. The two models are very different, serve different markets, and are both products of their time. But they both do justice to what was a cutting edge machine, from a technology perspective, in the 1980s. Enjoy.
  5. It is an absolute cracker. A friend got it for me at Agritechnica and dropped it arround today.
  6. I got called away and wasn't able to make it. Looking forward to seeing pics.
  7. I'm sure you are referring to weights for front linkages, but just in case ........ PMA32 offer proper replicas of the chassis mounted Fendt front weights
  8. They were branded Someca in France in the 70s. Might have been the importer.
  9. Dry and Sunny, but still massive flooding from all the rain. More rain forecast for tomorrow. Galway cut off from the East of the Country. They are planning to open 26kms of Motorway tonight to allow people get into/out of Galway. The Motorway is under construction and isn't due to open for another couple of weeks. Cork City completely flooded. Bandon, Clonakilty completely flooded. Clonmel completely flooded. Mayhem everywhere!
  10. I was talking to George on Tuesday and he still had a couple of places at that stage (I got one of them).
  11. I have a Norev Peugeot 504 somewhere. All the local farmers drove 504s back in the late 70s. Pity it isn't 1:32.

That's why I use Photobucket. It resizes them for you when you upload them.
  13. I was out walking a farm that is for sale. For my next trick I have to figure out how I could pay for it. House is a do-er upper. Good outbuildings. My great grandmother grew up on the farm next door. Lots of serious thinking, and plotting, and planning called for! Have bought a Lotto ticket, just in case
