  1. An 850 wouldn't be close enough, would it? http://cgi.ebay.com/1-32-SLOT-CAR-SCX-volvo-850-Fits-FLY-NINCO-Scalextric-/300531145525?pt=Slot_Cars&hash=item45f90d5b35
  2. Valtra T170 and 4m Horsch Pronto drill on the N25 near Wexford Town.
  3. I have a yearling bull calf who is no longer afraid of electric fences - runs straight through them without breaking stride. Wired up his pen with two strands of barbed wire to put manners on him. Did it work? Not a chance. Today I upgraded his pen with some spare gates and re-set all the fence posts. I dread to think what damage he'll have done by morning.

  5. Ireland beating England in the Cricket World Cup. Who'd a thunk it?
  6. Anyone else spot the flaw with the real 990 Selectamatic?
  7. There was a very limited run of an uncabbed MH101 in 1:32 about ten years ago. I've only ever see one of them, and pictures of another. The maker did a second model of a County 1004 (6X) which I managed to obtain in Zwolle a very long time ago.

Can you get it delivered in Blue rather than Red? Much nicer colour,
  9. I had my two pigs slaughtered last week, broke down the sides on Tuesday, and had the first pork steak for supper tonight. Unbelievably yummy. Nicest pork I've ever had. Must buy a few more weaners. These two aren't going to last long in the freezer.

  11. You might be right. It's very hard to do an apples:apples comparison and I'm not fully up to speed on the sub-brand.
  12. The T6090 is the same tractor as the Puma. It has recently been rebranded as the T7.210 The Steyr 9105 is effectively the same as the T6020
  13. Anyone got a pic of a T6090 beside a Fendt 818?

    Réplicagri 2011

I had an 8560 in my hands today. Absolutely cracking model. Cab is slightly off alright, but not enough to take away from the excellence of the model. The speed range chart on the side window was a detail that blew me away most. Will be aquiring one very soon.
  15. Helped a friend to scan 200 ewes today. First time working with sheep. Stupid, stupid animals. The ultrasound scanner is a cool piece of kit though. Sorry I didn't get a photo to post here. He also has a very rare Ford 7740 SLE with a blue roof. Was built during the transition phase. Some bits from the old model, some bits from the new model. Started my Diploma in Organic Farming course tonight. Can't wait to get it finished.
  16. The John Q would be most appropriate from that list, but the Norev Claas Dominator 108 would be a better choice in my view. Personally, I'd go back a bit farther and use a New Holland 8070. Curiously, here's a thread on GTP with pictures of all three models. http://forum.grostracteurspassion.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=12442

    ROS 2010

Isn't it great to have a proper numbering system again. I wonder where the marketing numpty who came up with the old system has gone now. Told you it wouldn't last.
  20. Borrowed the neighbours 2850 and headed into town to pick up some rolled barley, poultry pellets, and dog food. Met a Valtra T with a load of coal on't back which had taken a wrong turning, and ended up in the ditch when he tried to reverse back out of the junction. They ended up having to unload him onto three other tractors & trailers. There were some absolute wassocks on the road. One clown in a Mondeo estate crossed over onto the opposite carriageway to overtake me through a 5ft wide, 18 inch high pile of snow, and then came back through the snow in front of me and nearly lost it when he over compensated. First time driving an SG2. Interesting machine, but not a patch on a Series III.
  21. +1 My earliest childhood memory is of travelling in a trailer being pulled by a 65.
  22. There was a bit of a thaw this afternoon, so I decided to take the opportunity to head down the local Londis to stock up on firelighters, heineken and top up the credit in the mobile before we get snowed in. Got down there, spotted that they had one copy of the January 2011 Classic Tractor on the shelf, and promptly forgot the firelighters, heineken or phone credit. Managed to get the car back up the hill to the farm before I remembered why I went down there in the first place. Really pleased with the Classic Tractor though, and delighted the local shop now stocks it. Not so pleased that I'm going to freeze to death, whilst sober, and I can't phone for help.
  23. That's the first time they have ever had 1:32 models on the Christmas Toy Show, so be sure and email in and congratulate them. We might get a longer segment next year. Pity about the overalls though.
  24. Looks like SPN farms will be upgrading the two Fendt 818s next year after all.
