The Tractor Twitcher
Nice collection David Thanks ever so much Mike. Absolutely chuffed to bits with how it's developing.
The Tractor Twitcher
I've added a few more models to my collection in the last month or so, and with Spalding just around the corner I thought i'd update my collection thread. Starting with the HMT Show Massey Ferguson 1080 prduced by Universal Hobbies. I really like this variation, and I may well look towards acquiring the other examples of this model released by Universal Hobbies.
The Tractor Twitcher
I'm really enjoying building up my collection of classic International tractors, particularly with models from Replicagri. Recent additions to this theme include their standard release 1046, and ACA Chartres Show 946 which comes with the earlier released trailer.
The Tractor Twitcher
Continuing the Replicagri International theme. Here's my recently purchased 2wd black winged 2wd 845XL. Interesting to note the positioning of the front axle on this model which is much further forward than on the earlier released ACA Chartres Show edition. I think it makes for a much nicer model as a result.
The Tractor Twitcher
Having bought Norev's Claas Dominator 96 earlier in the year, and being a fan of older classic machinery I couldn't resist but purchase their effort at miniaturising the Senator.
The Tractor Twitcher
Here's another of my favourite themes residing in my collection. My Fiat / Fiatagri models, largely made up of 90 series tractors. I absolutely love the styling of these tractors. Here's my most recent terracotta addition to my collection, this Replicagri 100-90 equipped with detachable rear duals.
The Tractor Twitcher
Moving onto the first of my Spalding purchases, and continuing my Fiat theme with these ROS 1580 2wd and recently released 1880. Both tractors come with two types of rear linkage, opening doors and sun roof. Very smart models, despite the fact the orange paint work on the 2wd example is much lighter and brighter than any of the other orange Fiats I have in my collection. It's almost illuminous!
Stabliofarmer
What do you make of the senator ? As you make it sound almost as if it isn't as good as it should be ?
The Tractor Twitcher
What do you make of the senator ? As you make it sound almost as if it isn't as good as it should be ? It's great to have one in 1/32nd scale James, and i'm delighted I bought one, but I wouldn't say it's my favourite model in my collection. Maybe i'm just becoming more and more picky, and this may sound like a generalisation but for the money it just looks and feels unfinished. Details such as the unpainted centre of the reel. etc To me it's one of those models that is good, but should and could be so much better.

The Tractor Twitcher
Last of the outside photographs for the time being, as it started to rain heavily just as I finished taking pictures of the following two models. Hopefully the weather will improve sufficiently for me to photograh the rest of my Spalding purchases lined up in natural lighting very soon. Here's the first of six models I bought from one of my favourite custom builders. Paul "PDC" Capon. I'm incredibley greatful to Paul for completing and constructing a number of special requests for me. Massive thank you! I now have 28 of Paul's wonderful creations residing in my collection, many of which are one off requests. As many of you will know I have had a massive clear out of surplus models over the past year or so. One such model I had been trying to move on was a UH Valtra 6850. However having remembered a conversion that another member posted on here had built I gave the unwanted model to Paul and asked him transform the Valtra into a chunky looking white roofed Ford 7740. Here's the result. I'm just awaiting some decals from Paul to finish off this model. I'm chuffed to bits with how this has turned out. The second 40 series model to come home from Spalding with me was this wonderful custom built 8340 by another custom converter who's work i'm absolutely delighted to have in my collection. Martyn Reeve.
The Tractor Twitcher
Fine collection growing David. Love those Fiats. Thanks ever so much Justin. Very pleased with how my Fiat collection has grown. They now have a larger cabinet all to themselves so i've lots more room to expand that particular theme. The Tractor Twitcher
Here's another shelf filled with a particular theme i'm very proud to have gathered together. My G & B Roadless tractors. The grey bonnet 95 without cab being the most recent addition from Spalding. There was no way I was leaving Spalding without one of Dave Purdue's lovely models. Joining Aughton Valley on this occasion was this JJ Thomas Ninety Five - 100. ....and last but not least from my ever growing collection of Ford conversions, this wonderful Martyn Reeve Muir Hill 101.
The Tractor Twitcher
Another line up i've been addicted to adding to in the last couple of years has been my line up of 3000 series Massey Ferguson models. Number's 11 and 12 arrived in time for collection at Spalding in the shape of these 3090 and 3075 tractors constructed for me by Paul Capon. Absolutely delighted with these two aswell. stehos
David, I envy you about the line-up of G&B models you have. They are great models. It gives me a reason to get some money together for additional buys at Zwolle. Hope to meet you there again.

Evening Jack, Very pleased with the line up of G & B Roadless tractors, they really are superb models. Delighted to have added another to that particular line up. I'll definitely be at Zwolle again. Looking forward to catching up with you.
robbo
I am also thinking that I need to add a Roadless to my collection but my funds are already spoken for, they are really nice models though
The Tractor Twitcher
I am also thinking that I need to add a Roadless to my collection but my funds are already spoken for, they are really nice models though There's some absolutely cracking Roadless models out there Mike. Along with the G & B models, i'm hopeful of adding further to my Scaledown variations to complement this line up, and i've also seen a number of very nice 65 and 75 variations from DBP too. I stand to be corrected but I think a chap called Tammo Broekma has the G & B models over in Zwolle ( Ken Davies is not attending this year ) and there's also a wonderful stand offering the Scaldown kits aswell as a number of bespoke fully built up Scaledown models. One of which is top of my shopping list this year.
The Tractor Twitcher
The final part of my collection to receive some attention at Spalding was my small fleet of John Deere tractors. Starting with two particular tractors gaining plenty of attention at Spalding. The recently released Britains John Deere 3050 2wd and 3350. I have already removed the front weight block from the 3050 to represent this real machine I photographed at York Machinery sale just over 11 years ago. Well done Britains, I think these are fantastic toys / models for the money. Looking very respectable sat alongside my pair of Miniagripassion models. I'm massive fan of classic articulated tractors and have thoroughly enjoyed gathering together a number of older John Deere articulated machines in recent years. Whilst browsing Martyn Reeves stand I noticed another variation I had been searching a long time for. The Collector Edition of the Ertl 7520. Aside from a number of conversions that exist out there from the likes of Peter Hardy and Dave Towse I believe this is a complete set of 7020 series 1/32nd scale releases. My most recent edition can be seen 2nd in from the right. I will have outside shots taken of this line up in due course. Whilst the other artic to join my green and yellow collection from Spalding was the Plow City 2007 Edition 8630. It's seen here sat alongside my Collector Edition 8430 and blade. Lastly Schuco's stunning effort at miniaturising the 7810. One of my favourite general releases from this year. I will aim on having some decent outside photographs taken of the rest of my recent purchases in due course. I'm also planning a number of real versus model topics shortly too, which I haven't done in a while.
