robertw1
Another update to the diary. Mark dropped the forks off and put the bucket on. He soon got to work levelling the chalk.
robertw1
James then came down the hill with the last load of chalk. Backing him in.
robertw1
Tipping up. On his way back up the hill James, nearly ran over two dozen partridge. Soon it was all levelled out.
robertw1
Mark was looking forward to playing with the wacker. After a bit it ran out of fuel.
robertw1
It was a good job that Shawn was on his way with a can. Mark was shore that Shawn was losing his marbles, he had only half filled the can! The put what they had in it, then Mark went to get some more, leaving Shawn to carry on. robertw1
By the time Mark got back with the fuel and the trailer it was dark. To light the barn up they left the land-rover on tick over with the lights on.
robertw1
Didn't think it was the best idea to leave it on the hill over night. Just have to strap on then off home.
robertw1
The chaps were all in the workshop this evening gossiping about this storm. Mark was sharpening the chain saw just in case any trees fall down.
Stabliofarmer
That's just phenomenal detail for a space that can't be more than 10cm square!
robertw1
Thanks, I am half thinking of knocking a door way through into the other side and having a band saw, lathe, tool chest and other metal working gear but I am not sure as I quite like the little room and by doing that I think it might ruin it a bit? CMB
Whew! I thought Mark had been buried under a pile of chalk for a second there!
robertw1
Na he would have got out the way at the last minuet. Probable cursing at the top of his voice. Tom went to feed the cows this morning expecting to find a lot of storm damage. All he found on the way there was a tire which had blown off the stack. The cows are feed a bit more when they are calving.
robertw1
Tom parked the jcb and went off to check the calfs. On his way back down the hill tom went and checked the cows strip grazing the kale.
robertw1
Another result of last nights storm was a empty pheasant feeder that had blown down and broke off a leg.
robertw1
James went up the hill this evening to collect the digger. The trailer is new to the farm, and where it came from it had been sat at the edge of a field will the brake lines on the ground so they where rusty. Deere-est
So er, about this chap Mark. Does he always play with his 'whacker' at work?!!! Like others have said, the detail on this modest - albeit small - diorama is superb. Even just the models as single pieces, the real JCB style forks, the rope and shovel chucked on top of the battery cover between the mudguards. . .. you just know how to do it, mate.
