0025
A few pics for you mike These are a bit fuzzy, might try to get some better ones some when. whats the shed like as im thinking of getting on
robertw1
It is the typical brushwoods quality, well made and well thought through. the base and the sides are made from 6mm mdf and the two removable roof panels are 4mm. I think it all depends on what you want it for. It is quite big compared to my models but if you have the space why not. I personally would say have a go making one your self because you will enjoy doing it and it will fit your space better, also if it goes wrong you can by one latter. catkom3
A few Solar Panels would finish that off nicely, http://www.modellbau-schulte.de/shop/product_info.php?info=p2495_solarpanel--34-x-49-5-x-2-mm.html Regards Joe.

Stabliofarmer
Brilliant diorama in a diorama there so to speak Robert The road sign and wacker plate stand out for me. While all was set up a toytrac did you get an overall picture of the entire layout?
robertw1
Unfortunately I didn't but it is still set up on a paste table for a few days before I can pack it away so if I get a chance I will get one. My aim is to carry on the story and finish off the barn floor.
Lady Ferguson
Superb layout Robert. What's so amazing is it's actually quite a small layout isn't it - but your attention to detail is incredible. I particularly liked the sheep grazing above the pit. You had only about an inch strip along the top of the hill there and you managed to make it look like a field of grazing animals. I also think you scored well with the judges because of the originality. Can I just ask you - do you make it up as you go along or work from a plan? CMB
Imaginative use of the xtratherm cavity stuff Rob, I've got a pile of it but never thought it could be used so creatively!
The Tractor Twitcher
Congratulations on your success at Toytrac Robert. As others have mentioned I absolutely love the chalk pit part of your very impressive layout. Some absolutely fantastic detail!
robertw1
Thanks for the comments , the insulation works well as it is also very light. As far as plans go I sort of have an image in my head of what I want it to be like and just go from there making alterations and adding bits in as I go. Go ahead and use as many pictures as you like. I think that Tris and Chris took some, and I suspect they might be better quality.
robertw1
Unloading the wacker plate. Shaun cleaning the trailer out back at the yard.
robertw1
The farm has bought a bale spike for the jcb and the seller wants it out there way so Shaun was going to head over there to pick it up. However he had a phone call last night to say that the new loader tractor they bought to replace there jcb had already broken down and there was no one there tomorow to help load so Shawn had borrowed toms engine crane that morning. robertw1
He arrived at the livery yard and loaded the spike up. All strapped on and ready to go.
robertw1
Shaun had enough of struggling today so he tied the spike to the gate to unload.
robertw1
Dropped the trailer off before he went to see how the others where getting on up the hill. just before he left the yard he had a call to bring some diesel for the wacker. Leakeyvale
Congratulations (again) on your success at Toytrac. Warner and I had a hard job judging the entries and we did not know which was a winner until we added up the points for each entry at the very end. I loved the whole idea of the chalk pit but having the extracted chalk being laid down on the barn floor was a treat. I meant to ask you which came first - laying the the chalk floor or the quarry? robertw1
Thank you. The barn came first, followed by the chalk pit. then the idea of the laying the chalk in the barn.
Massey Boy
Very well deserved win at Toytrac Robert! All the small details like the wire coming from the beacon on the defender make it a great layout, keep up to good work
