Deere-est
I bought some red bricks on ebay once and the bloke did them in different colours like sandstone and so on. I really, really have to start sorting the attic out and get Leverets updated. Mandy has so many things on her stock list now it is unreal!! Here's the Juweela (pronounced Hooweela) website for some photos: www.juweela.de/ I can order anything in for you Thats a good price for the tiles and bricks.... The leads look good as well

Lady Ferguson
A question for you guys. If I sold the gates without the hinges (making them cheaper), do you think they would be of interest?

Claaspower
I'd need them with hinges Can you not offer both?
Tractorman810
agree with tris, having done a good few hinges now,on various buildings and doors ect , someone else doing them is far easier

SPN
A question for you guys. If I sold the gates without the hinges (making them cheaper), do you think they would be of interest? Would this design, with the pivot point (hinge) as an integral part of one of the vertical elements be of any help?
Lady Ferguson
Would this design, with the pivot point (hinge) as an integral part of one of the vertical elements be of any help? Thanks for that. Good design - I've seen similar on a few Irish layouts. Do you get real gates designed like that?
SPN
Thanks for that. Good design - I've seen similar on a few Irish layouts. Do you get real gates designed like that? They would be the norm, from my experience. [edit - here are some more pics and links] http://www.foxbros.ie/gates.html
Lady Ferguson
They would be the norm, from my experience. That's interesting - thanks. Never seen a field gate of that design before, but perhaps they don't have them in Somerset Is there a special name for a gate constructed like that? Leakeyvale
"Secure" is a word I would use - at least that type of gate cannot be lifted off its hinges which is what happened at one of my clients. The other end was chained shut.
Tractorman810
not seen a field gate like that, but have seen plenty of pig units with that type of gate mandy usally held up by two L angle bits of metal top and bottom, or one on top, the other in a hole in the floor, you will also see them with the bottom 2/3rd's infilled, with either metal sheet or a high density brown board, again seen in pig / sheep units ect
Deere-est
Seen one or two like that about but too be honest Mandy, the gates you already do ate perfectly fine.... Why the change?
