A Vaaderstadt drill being dragged into the workshop yard by a JD.  I mean dragged because the bracket holding the back drill axle had snapped and it was doing a great job drilling scouring the (newly renovated) drive.  Not to worry Dad contractor arrived with some bars and straps and they managed a sort of repair.

Ain't that typical!

I saw all of our chopping equipment at a farm we are custom chopping for but our Claas was no where in sight, in it's place was a shiny new John Deere SPFH. The farm we were chopping for has a some who works for a dealer so I don't know if he was just demoing the unit or if we were looking into replacing our claas. I wish I had more details but I didn't have to work today but I will get to the bottom of this  :D

On Friday night Eadt of Goole off the M62

then beverley to York on Saturday

and also around the Wolds and Moors today

.....there was lots of ploughing, cultivating and drilling.

Of particular note was a team of 3 large JD's and Grime potato harvesters and associated tractors & box-carrying trailers, all stopped for lunch near Kirby Grindalythe ....but no pics all w/e !!!!

Well on the back roads met a local butcher Paul Smith from Mason Lodge near Westhill with a cabless International B250 or B275 with loader pulling a Ifor Williams livestock trailer. He rears some of his own animals for killing and sellling.

You don't see many IH B250's about...my favourite !!

Highlight for me this weekend was while out running on Saturday (hence no camera) South of Beverley.

A JD6920 had just had it's artic trailer loaded and was struggling to find any grip, so the JCB telehandler was behind the load pushing with its boom....and not having much joy as the ruts got deeper ! Situation was finally resolved by a 2nd JD putting a chain onto the first and slowly dragging the lot away (a good excuse to stop and catch my breath, at least !)
