Hi Paul, The land press was tow behind a tillage train something like a Simba solo or by itself, David is correct that this would have been built by R & M implements which being Ron and the late Mick cooper these were sold in the good ole days by Bill and Jean Richardson,  the first Sunday in the month they had an open house and people came along with farm toys and model that they had built back in the late 80's early 90's there where quite a few The Brian parkes connection is that he may have cast rings in white metal?

whos this one by martyn ?? i am guessing some sort of mb tarc variation ?

Its a Russian built tractor the model came with a tractor magazine out there every month great model cost me €20 in zwolle, I guess that when the real tractor was made some one from the west fax a grainy picture of an MB Trac and Fastrac to a tractor factory in the east? And look what they made of it.

Hi Pete, the press came from a very good but late friends collection so has sentiment attachment as well, as for the Bailey trailer one of three oaks fantastic replicas can't fault it the real one stand in the shed owned by the people who farm the land here.

Got new in and one for the collection is the 1/35 scale Lovol GN 70 combine from china great detailed model mainly diecast. BUT if you read the warning under the box you would never dare to unpack it incase it killed you! Bit of a dangerous diecast this one!

As with a lot of small town toy shops my local one closed over two year ago now which was quite sad as I have fond memories of this for as long as I can remember with the old world wooden beams and traditional family ran business Simpsons had traded in Stowmarket since the 1890’s. With me being quite sentimental I wanted something to remember the old shop when I asked the owner nothing was left until a local customer of mine was given a shop display that the new shop fitters had found while clearing out the upper part of the shop in the middle of this year and this being a boxed 1987 Britains power farm display after some bartering the deal was done and here is my childhood memories of years gone by.

Just a few models that I have taken pics of before they go in the collection, the first is a 32scale Schuco Allgaiea with rotavator as used in the coffee plantations in Brazil this Porsche systems tractor looks more like something that should be in the evil liar of a James Bond film on a monorail! The next is a 43scale MBTrac 1100 from the hachatte tractor magazine in holland. The last this time is the Agritechnica 17 profi Schuco produced JD 4650 to which only 1000 were made.

like that big Deere a lot!

Thanks John yep all those big 50,55 series were favourites of mine as have worked along side these ploughing back in the day the contractors had 4240s, 4440 hfwd, 4450 and 4755 must dig all the old pictures out. As for the model it looks good on the 7810 wheels and tyres it’s a shame they didn’t do more to the Agritechnica JD 7810 apart from just Agritechnica 17 printed on the bonnet. Maybe Schuco could bring out a 4850 on singles that would be great.
