mb86
The kit looks excellent, really well finished and put together. Would pizza boxes be big enough for the kits? Congratulations on the job.
Stabliofarmer
Many thanks for the kind words, the hunt for boxes continues! Abit if margin on thickness is needed to get enough bubble wrap in place to protect the acrylic which is quite brittle. A large pizza box would be perfect, apart from them being square meaning they go outside of the royal mail small parcel size of 450 x 350 x 160 mm. I'll stumble across the right option eventually! catkom3
Bit of a long shot James, But could the side panels and chassis rails not be split, and the relevant joint's staggered to create a strong joint,?? Regards Joe.
Stabliofarmer
Unfortunately you'd loose alot of the rigidity with that method Joe, but more importantly it'd add extra complexity to the kits, which when the majority of sales are to people that have never tried a model kit before it's key that they go together as simply as possible.
catkom3
Cheers James I guessed there might be structural problems, Just a thought, Regards Joe.
Tractorman810
ha found them james, do a search for these on google “Garment Boxes“ its what that guy on ebay used for the laser cut buildings ages ago , hopefully you can find one that will suit your kit sizes , and save you cash in bubble wrap ect, its all about your costs at the end of the day , plus give you more room at home and especially in the car by that pic . Maybe save on postage as well with luck
