Deere-est
Spent half an hour with my hand in a cold trough after squatting my left thumb under a log .. . AGAIN!!! Usually do one or other of my thumbs at least once a year. Nearly put me off my early finish, pub lunch and a pint. . ... Nearly... No black nail yet, the swelling seems to have gone the other way this time and my thumb now looks like that of a cobblers'!!

Thinking of moving again out of town, never had any problems living out in the countryside in east sussex
FNHIR
Staying in Galway for a few days, did an internet search for model shops and found that there was one in the industrial estate literally down the road from the hotel. Got there to find it had closed down
CMB
Searching high and low for my glasses with no luck. Because I need them to drive, I've had to leave my truck in Devon and get a lift back to pick up a spare pair. So back down to Devon tomorrow... Tommy Gough
Tractor bringing up error codes when muck spreading, had to keep stopping at least it wasnt on the road sounds like a right pain in the backside. reminds me of a NHT6070 we had on hire one year. It was traded in by the owner so the new one came straight to our farm from the factory. we went for a bit of a drive and it decided it didnt like top gear and went into neutral. it turned out it hadnt been calibrated properly in the factory. Thats why i like our main tractor (ford 7610). It may have a gearbox that can be awquward sometimes but thats just if you need to get a good speed in the field. That said it does have an electrical problem in that the dashboard doesnt work but thats no big deal as it doesnt affect the day to day workings of it. And for what annoyed me today? A comfirmation that there will be no nice shiny masseys doing our silaging this year.

You make a good point, a lot less to go wrong on an older tractor and I can brig you a shiny MF if you want, just has the above problems with it \

Leakeyvale
Yesterday really. 5:30 and the driver from my garage comes to collect me after a phone call to say "they are putting your car back together" which meant the new starter motor had been installed. I arrive at the garage at 5:40 happy as a lark to be getting my car back (I have been car-less for 3 days) and wondered where it was parked. It was not on the front so I assumed it was around the back. "Take a seat, Mrs Leake, " as I walked into reception. Bad sign as I was simply collecting my keys so I sat down. "They are still working on your car." (Good job I was sitting down) The new starter motor was refusing to marry to its brackets! Why does this always happen to me? Once it was a driveshaft refusing to connect. Still, I cannot complain as a brand new Zafira (the one that collected me in fact) is now sitting outside my house and costing me nothing. With only 500 miles on the clock it has to be one of their demonstrators because all the courtesy cars are Corsas. What has really annoyed me is that today is a BANK HOLIDAY which means they will not be working on my car until Saturday (half day) and if they cannot get it fixed then I will be unable to get it until TUESDAY because MONDAY is also a BANK HOLIDAY! > (yes I am shouting) At least I do have a car suitable for my needs as on Sunday I am off to "Simply Ford" at Beaulieu along with all the Leakey Vale Ford and Fordson tractors and both my cabinets for the Club's model display tent. I would never fit the cabinets in a Corsa
CMB
The computer detected a virus yesterday and when I clicked to remove, it it seems to have removed more than I wanted it to. In fact I can no longer open any files ending with the suffix .exe, which is most of the damn files on the computer. I'm no expert and it probably needs one, which means yet more money thrown at this bloody thing -which I haven't got. So depressing.
