Thats a good do then Zac, was she a local tractor when you got her? well if you get you hanger up in the right position you'll be able to add a bit on the back and keep extending it when you run out of room

The shed has 4 doors 2 each end so it'll be easy to drive in and out

Anderson Agri
Busy day today prepping the area for the shed, digger hired in and levelled out as well as a couple trees felled. Gave a chance to get the nuffield out of the shed, can't believe I contemplated selling it it's such a nice looking tractor!

No, it is me with a 3c. Long story short it's got 2 punctures being sorted tomorrow. Bloody chain harrows hidden in hedgr! And it's got running issues it keeps overheating which I'm not too happy about. I was given short notice for the time off at work so had no choice but to hire a mini in. It makes it so much easier tho
Anderson Agri
Having always fancied a go at tractor pulling I bought a nuffield to put an engine in and lack of time and experience I came across this and came home with it. 1967 John Deere 710 fitted with a Perkins 6354 engine. Goes like stink! Well happy with it unfortunately neighbors aren't and within 20 minutes had rang the police for noise complaints!!! Oh how much fun I can have
Valley Axe Man
And taking to the track now pulling fans is "Angry Anderson" A few bits to do to her Zac? reckon she wants a bit weight to properly get a hold and help keep the front end from getting too high?? i'd say you still want to build your own out of that pair of hedgerow find Nuffys you bought, but just keep it simple, a 6/98vt out of an older Leyland wagon, would rev nicely, then apart from a bit of chassis and a few hours with a tape and grinder and welder she be in, if its a dedicated pulling toy then do away with the pto clutch and fit a 13" single, would stand the pain of the 6/98vt.... and you'd have a simple puller for not a lot of coin, or if you wanted to go abit more power wise, keep your eyes open for a scrap 245 Leyland, use the bell housing off that and find a perkins V8 ex combine or forager, the 245 bellhousing bolt straight up to it and get you straight on to the 10 speed back end of the Nuffy, more fab work needed though as ideally you'd need to make a channel section chassis from the trumpets up to pick the bell housing up and then on forwards to carry the tombstone for the front axle, beauty of that design is if you bring the channels out of the back of the trumpets to the hitch plate your pulling the full length of the tractor, not just across the trumpets... I've had thoughts of a project like that for a while on and off even to the piont of it being chalked out on the workshop floor to consider the lengths etc but its just laying your hands on the right bits at the right price in the right scrap mans yard.... building it be as fun as pulling with it Edited July 13, 2020 by Valley Axe Man

I'm still not sure if I should move the nuffield on and let someone else have a go as it's ready for engine. Happy enough with my new toy it certainly pulls well hope it goes well on track
Anderson Agri
Been a bit quiet on here but things are still slowly ticking away, 802 has nearly returned from being repaired, ED40 is scheduled to go to be rebuilt as its got a few issues, 262 brake parts have arrived and ive made a start getting that all up and working now. Took a little trip out today to collect whats left of a Nuffield 4/60, Sadly not much left of it so will join the other 2 in the breaker corner to become 1 good one eventually. Made a start stripping engine down on the other one today.

Anderson Agri
Also got the ED40 in pieces for a few bits in a mates workshop, stripped right down now and all the neccesary bits replaced, just weighing up whether to give it a full restoration whilst its in pieces the paint job is shoddy!
