CX820Joe
Its looking great, I always thought it was a pretty decent combine when I had one! Clearly it needed some attention!

Thanks Joe, it is a decent model, I was after one for quite a while, the intention being just to re spray it and add a little few details, the trouble is once you start.....! Cheers John, I'm aiming for a similar level of detail as the 1905, probably should just have bought a Replicagri one!
Cheshire Farm Models
Never mind the replicagri one this will look 10x better. Even gone to the trouble of rebuilding existing panels. This will look scratchbuilt when your done mate. Should be very proud.
844john
Thanks Sam, in all honesty a full scratch build would probably have been easier, but never mind!

I always find modifying an existing model is difficult. Your working around it rather than with it. I've found it difficult in the past. Stuff like that Ford 4600 I did wasnt so bad, shortened, wheel change and a few small touches. Its stuff like this that your doing that I find hard. But by the looks of it your not a million miles off now and it will look far better than any off shelf one you can buy mate!
844john
Cheers Sam, no, not far off now. Some more pulleys, pipes, mirrors etc added, rear wheels reversed and new centres made to more closely match the real thing, wheel studs added to the front wheels, and a few coats of primer
JEP
Stunning modification John, transformed a good model into precision build. Brilliant!!
Cheshire Farm Models
I have a suggestion John. That's if you haven't tackled it already... around here Nelson trailers were very popular. We had 2 of there low level bale trailers. And a fella also had one of Nelson's header trailers. Last year I managed to pick up one of there brochures, and in there brochure you can see it posed with a New Holland header. They was originally white with black wheels and the Nelson writing was just a stencil I believe. Only down side is that's the only picture I have. Although theres not much to them. Bitta history even if you decide against it
CX820Joe
It's a shame there isn't a 'wow' reaction for posts. Looks brilliant John, can't wait to see the finished article.

CX820Joe
I had an inkling to try and do similar wonders to the Siku hybrid combines - I am about 1000 miles (years) away being up to this standard though! Sold now and replaced with combine which possibly just needs a number plate. I will possibly get some old implements and have a go at detailing them, start small. Found some old combine photos on an external HD - never caught an 8070 on camera, but here's one of an 8060
