Paint colours

As it seems quite a few people are getting into this converting and building lark I thought it might be an idea to have a colour reference topic, maybe it will help a few of us along with getting a close match colour off the shelf for a particular brand.

If you've used a particular "off the shelf" colour to match up to a particular brand and you don't mind sharing it with others then please post it up here.

my other trailer was fiat capri blue i think, but i just saw it on the garage shelf and used it but i might try what sean said for ford blue

i tried that for the 6600 first off was way to light a blue, well ithought so,hence i went back to rover tahiti

Take a look at my Bunning Root Trailer topic, the blue used in there is Vauxhall Aruba Blue if thats a match for you

Do you mean Stewart trailers? If so, like Sean said, Rover Tahiti Blue or Dealer NH paint is a close enough match.

a type of red for a grass topper ive made the same as this- ive got a real one and the colour is more like a vicon type colour- any sugggestions??

VW Mars Red could be a pretty good match, difficult to tell from a photo but looks like a pretty dark red with no pink but not burgundy?

Or Land Rover Rutland Red?

Thought it was Tornado red that always turned out as 'angry morning orange' ?!

that looks very close to a pair of trailers i did for alan on here i used bmw zinobar red with white primer, slightly darker than mf red when finished

Nearest you will get is Rover Applejack green with a white primer, its what i used for the Claas coloured Bunnings trailer I posted pictures of the other week

gav is right its the closest you will get unless  you go to a claas dealership

tris is your man for that, although i would have thought any model paint thats boat hull red would do, that mat marroon colour so to speak

A misting of red oxide primer may do it, just depends what you are looking to do it to really \
