Paint colours

As it seems quite a few people are getting into this converting and building lark I thought it might be an idea to have a colour reference topic, maybe it will help a few of us along with getting a close match colour off the shelf for a particular brand.

If you've used a particular "off the shelf" colour to match up to a particular brand and you don't mind sharing it with others then please post it up here.

The massey paint is cheaper than halfords at 6 quid a tin inc vat not bought any jd paint before so cant help on that one mate

JD green or yellow 400ml aerosol is about ?7.00 + vat at our  local dealer if thats any help JDM

Ford electric blue with white primer is a good match

Try Fiat Broom yellow with either a white or yellow primer

Does anyone know if you can get Kane yellow and fraser green in halfords and what they are called?

Not 100% sure on this but you could try Plasti-Kote Lawn Green if your local Halfords stock it, I know mine has it. If not find a good picture of a Fraser in a magazine and take it with you to compare with the can lids. Also remember that what colour primer you use will affect the colour of the top coat you use, red or grey will make it darker than yellow or white

You could get a litre of Sparex or similar paint of the same colour from a farm supplies store for about the same money, and they would probably be better to deal with

Makes my tinlets of genuine colours look cheap @?1.40 each with postage ?1.50 for up to 3 enough for several 1/32 tractors in each 12ml tinlet..

Nearest you will get is Rover Applejack green with a white primer, its what i used for the Claas coloured Bunnings trailer I posted pictures of the other week
