JC Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Has anyone received this model yet?? It looks to me like they have fixed the sagging bonnet problem...... \ Pic Courtesy of G and M Quote
MDFord Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Ah that looks better don't it F-P. Might see if G+M have got them on their stand at Dorset Steam Fair. Just a small thing, the bonnet decal doesn't look wide enough Quote
James T Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Is it steerable or is the front axle fixed as on the 5000? Quote
Deerepower Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Is it steerable or is the front axle fixed as on the 5000? FIXED as the 5000 Quote
Tractorman810 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 should be here any day, was ordered on sunday, so postie is usally quick from lalya, will post pics when it arrive Quote
bluegreen Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 The bonnet looks correct thankfully picked up a 5000 to have a look but it sucked! 7000 model is close to my heart as this was the real life tractor that got me interested in tractors in the first place never thought that anyone would think to make a model version though so im really looking forward to buying one and even more so now looking at that picture well done britains Quote
James T Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 FIXED as the 5000 That'll make things a bit difficult at the headlands! Quote
ford/nh fan Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 ordered mine sunday so hopfully arrive here next couple of days, the 7000 is the one i spent my first driving hours on with a mill master loader stacking bales with a farmhand flat eight grab . Daz Quote
1972farming Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 It looks very good on the photo. Looking forward to getting hold of some one day. Quote
1972farming Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I wonder if the new front weights are going to hinder us when we want to split the tractor in two ? \ Quote
SPN Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Ah that looks better don't it F-P. Might see if G+M have got them on their stand at Dorset Steam Fair. Just a small thing, the bonnet decal doesn't look wide enough One of these years I'm going to make it to the Dorset Steam Fair! :'( And yes, the decal is wrong! (but everything else about it looks bang-on). Quote
Udimore Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 The decal is odd really there has been loads of convo decals about over the years that have been much closer than that .. shame Nevermind other than that they are improving Nice model from here Quote
nashmach Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Yes the droopy bonnet seems to have been cured and yes the decal is wrong but still its very nice apart from the front axle Quote
Deerepower Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 the decals are a let down on it, but the rest looks good. think it would look good linked upto a rotovator or something like that Quote
TM190 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I wonder if the new front weights are going to hinder us when we want to split the tractor in two ? \ Nothing is ever a problem if you really want it in two :D But yes does look ok, at least its all holding up and not sagging Quote
Tractorman810 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 well mines here, exhaust and air cleaner are bent??? britains quallity control seems to have lapsed a little only major fault i can find is the chassis on this ones got a 1mm gap right down it's underside as if its been apart??? rears are deff bigger, front are standard 5000 axel and wheels, decals are nice and crisp to read to crap hitch but siku ones fit easy, but may well foul the lower part of the new cab rear?? Quote
FB Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 mmmmmmm still a no for me!!....whats on your monitor Sean \ \ Quote

Deerepower Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 bit of a bad finish with the gap and bent exhaust and air cleaner but I'm sure you'll put them right Quote
Tractorman810 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 bit of a bad finish with the gap and bent exhaust and air cleaner but I'm sure you'll put them right oooohhh yes i will at some point Quote
nashmach Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Looks a lot better than the 5000 if you ask me - thanks Sean Quote
BGU Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 The gap spoils it. I don't like the front axle either. A No for me I'm afraid. Quote
JC Posted August 30, 2007 Author Posted August 30, 2007 Doesn't look too bad, would look a bit better if the clown who had decaled it had trimmed the decal off beside the aircleaner cover instead of on it though.... Quote
dwain Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 nice looking tractor but i would send that one back Quote
Deerepower Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I've had an idea tm810 get Andy to take a picture of it to his next meeting and show britains and see what they say about the overall finish of the one you got...they might even give you a replacement for free Quote
