  1. Found this picture on another forum, looks in proportion to the cab this time😎
  2. Looks like a Q series on steroids.
  3. I enquired at my Massey dealer today, he quoted 10 working days minimum to delivery but £20 cheaper. I want mine now don't like waiting😄 I suspect only MF dealers will get these first Paul, the riff raff will have to wait a month or so.
  4. I just bought a 7S from these guys, massey parts i.e (ireland) in stock £88 including shipping https://www.masseyparts.ie/ Scroll down to see black 7S available as well.
  5. Thanks guys, its even more obvious on the white 7s............That bonnet is now spot on.
  6. I just noticed something with regard to the 7S sloping bonnet. Look at the red tractor images centre windscreen wiper unit , the bonnet is up hard against it. Then look at the black versions picture and notice the bonnet sits 3mm lower than the windscreen unit. Someone at UH didn't press the red bonnet down hard enough which is why it looks so wrong. The black bonnet from all angles is correct. Just the cab and fenders that suck now😁
  7. Paul P. 5S for cab and mudguards, highway massey for wheels Phil? Orange Massey potentially for chassis. Might use the grass tyres elsewhere, I will have to see if Ive got anything suitable to put them on.
  8. Thats a very good effort Paul, maybe the exhaust looks a bit bigger than the picture of the real thing, but otherwise spot on. I remember driving one of those 699's on weekends during the autumn of 1988 carting sugar beet with a 12 ton Marston. Plenty of poke and well balanced, but that "between the knees" gearshift was horrible. They changed it for a 3080 in 1991 which was far more friendly to drive.
  9. I was going to check that website a couple of days ago to see if they had them early. Looks like they have. Have you ordered one Paul, or giving them a miss?
  10. CASE Launched the revamped Rowtrac 400 three years ago to a great fanfare, they obviously thought they were going to build on the decent sales of the original machines along with the New Holland T8. Well as it stands today in east anglia they got anihilated by the competition!! JD 8RX must have 60/70% of the smaller tracked market followed by Claas 960tt with maybe 20%, Fendt MT 10% tops leaving CNH with next to bugger all. And to think the Quadtrac had no competition in genuine four track machines for 20 years due to patents, why oh why didn't CASE capitalize and bring out a Magnum 4 track years ago, instead of the Two track option. And the Quadtrac has probably fallen behind JD 9RX in UK sales by now, especially since Goodie retired from Doe Power😉
  11. I think a lot of farmers in these parts of the fens run their tractors on row crops for much of the year Paul, thats probably why they skip the flared fenders. Why pay more if you dont need the wider sets.
  12. And I took this picture of a 7726S on 710 rear tyres inexplicably on non flared fenders!!
  13. Nope, 5S wide fenders are the same as the ones on the two 7S. 180s up the road from me. MF offer both styles on their 7S and its predecessors. I would say 30% of all the older 7715-7726S machines in these parts have the non flared versions Paul.
  14. The baling was finally finished today and done so with the demo Krone 1290 which I can confidently say will not be leaving the farm. A deal will be concluded very soon as we have been very impressed with this machine. Our New Holland is good but this Krone we believe is a level above. German engineering at its best. With the harvest now all wrapped up our focus turns to Maize and Monday has been spent getting everything ready for Tuesday's start. The Jag 980 is raring to go with the new Kemper 12 row header on it and this year we will also be adding a roll to the rear of our pit tractor. The JD 6250R has got the job this year with the Holaras big blade on the front as well, this will assist our contractors big JCB 419s. Its a fair drag to start with and all four of our decent trailers are on it plus the home farmers kit. We have taken on a one man band to add further cover during this years campaign who has brought his NH T7.225 with him. Our main contractor has one of his 8S.265 machines on hand, and now baling is over his other two big MFs will head back onto the slurry injector tankers.
  15. Arriving after the Krone baler were a couple of MFs which are ear marked for project 7S and will be drafted in to help build a decent 7S.190 rather than the poor effort due out soon from UH.
  16. Thats funny Joe, I sold my New Holland as well and my Krone arrived last wednesday as well. I must say given that the NH was more expensive it was nowhere near as detailed as the Krone which is an exceptional model😎
  17. I didn't have to travel far for this picture........took it out my bedroom window😄 This decent condition L reg 1993 Massey 3635😍 spent all weekend going up and down the village fetching dirt from a homeowners back yard. Hadn't seen one of these for years.
  18. I think theres a bit of work to do Alf, new tyres, paint wheels which are not bad design, change cab for earlier britains 3000 series maybe, nick the front weight of 3000 as well.
  19. Yeah it can be tiring walking over acres of stubble in warm weather thats for sure Smithy. I must say I was very pleased with the NH T7300 Blue power pics, hope the UH model does it justice when it arrives.
  20. A lovely sunny day in Norfolk with some really nice tractors. Dissapointingly some stands weren't quite as lively as others, so TNS inactivity led to few pictures of Fendts, Valtra or Massey's☹️ and Deutz Fahr's absence was a downer too.........................Highlights were the new New Holland T7.300 & red counterpart CASE Puma 260. And bumping into fellow forum members Smithy & Graham Goodwin. Smithy was eyeing up the very smart metallic red McCormick transport tractor, maybe a future purchase in 10 years time😄
  21. We finished combining our 2000 acres earlier this week, although I suspect we may be asked to assist with one of the neighbours later ripening crops as September rolls on. My immediate focus has been to complete all the rapeseed drilling. We got half of it done using our direct Horsch drill but the second half has seen our Fendt MT943 pulling the farms 8m Vaderstad drill behind an Amazone catros disced cultivator and JD 8R. This set up is being closely followed by a Fendt 724 and heavy gang rolls. I have instructed the operator to roll it in two different directions to give the seeds a good seal and to lock in recent moisture, and halt any slugs. Unfortunately the Fendt crawler developed a fault inbetween its two stints of drilling and got taken back to TNS for repair, I was glad I chose to hire it before deciding whether to keep it later this autumn as it gives "issues" a chance to show themselves and get fixed at the dealers expense. All the same it left us without a cultivations tractor , but to the dealers credit they sent us a lovely low houred Challenger 775E to use instead. So nice I asked to keep this one as well on hire for a couple of months. We have paired it with our 6metre Kockerling cultivator which requires plenty of tug. This years Maize campaign is coming up fast and its likely we will start our first field later this week, that gives us a chance to prepare our grain trailers and fit the greedy boards to them. The Jaguar drivers looking forward to trying out the new 12 row Kemper in this years campaign. Finally, due to the stop start nature of baling this year because of the rains we got well behind, so when GJ Peck asked if we would like use of a Krone 1290 baler for 2 days to try on demo we said yes. And what a nice piece of kit it was, our driver actually preferred it to our new New Holland big baler! The good news is that Pecks have brought it back to help us finish of this seasons straw with a view to it replacing our Kuhn baler if a deal can be reached.
  22. Another picture of A.J Wrights mighty Lex 8900😎...........Love those Convio headers.
  23. Joe's been hiding in the hedgerow's again to get his pictures😄
