  2. A sad ending Tim...but that is life...after all we are all just passing through
  3. I got notification from the Border Fine Arts Society yesterday of two mid year tractor introduction. From the Classic Collection B1481 A BIT OF A STRETCH A limited edition of 500 by Ray Ayre A Farmall BMD diesel but there is something about the paint job I don't like. And from the Stdio collection A25893 Up to Scratch
  4. You should never spoil good story by saying it was a lie Justin
  5. I demand a picture James.. .....of late I have not been watching Ebay as much as I usually do..or did you get a better source to deal
  6. Not quite as warm here in the North East of Scotland Tim but around 20 degrees plus over the weekend so nice
  7. Oh I feel for you Sue that is dreadful...maybe a glass or two of wine will help you de-stress
  8. I know the feeling Mark... 6 of us were told last August our jobs were being made redundant since the the UK statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax returns were being done in Dubai since it was cheaper....I not saying no more but after 25 years plus dedicated service ...it will be their loss and my gain...Onward and upward Again...Mark... I wish you have found a good new job
  9. What is your new job Mark oh and hope it turns out to be a good one.
  10. I thought rules were for breaking Sean...well most folk seem to do so these days ..oh and I never read the small print...but maybe I should
  11. Happy birthday David...only 35 years until you can draw your OAP
  12. Today a sheet of 8 foot x 4 foot 6mm MDF board from GPH Builders Merchants Ltd at Westhill to pack out the back of a Stag corner display unit I bought for £ 40 from Magpie at Inverurie a few weeks ago. I bought one unit with display and cupboard and another display top only so it will fit nicely on the corner wall above the lounge TV after I pack the back of it out Shame Costco don't sell MDF as well but these flexible straps were far better than ropes and well I have an aversion to using ratchet straps
  13. Happy birthday Mr Cranston.....but I think you profile details are a bit out of date
  14. Alex...many thanks and although we had an argument or two we always made up at the end of the day when he came over most weekend's when I was at home. He was my second man at the rallies and my brass polisher. The chapel was full with 130 family and friends and around 70 odd at the grave and then the local bowling club for tea / coffee / sausage rolls / sandwiches and biscuits. It was a lovely warm and sunny day which he would have liked....I'll miss "Auld Jocky" as I called him and we used to have names for each other but well he has been a supportive dad to me for 50 odd years and I pleased to see him at rest but I have all the memories of the times with him and mum. All I need to do now is ensure I keep mum on an even keel in her 81st year.
  15. Thanks Justin but at 83 he has had a good life and a long retirement. He can now rest in peace and we have a lot of good memories and I see today as being a celebration of his life although I think it is going to be tough going.
  16. Thanks for your kind words David, Bas and Sean. Yes we worked and did a lot of things together but hopefully he has taught me some trade secrert over the years.
  17. Mike,Sharon,Mark,Chris, Brain and Brian and Dougie ....I appreciate your comments. Dad had been at the Fraserburgh rally for the first 20 years so I think it would be an excellent tribute to him since he was a popular character on the rally field's. I knew that by the number of folk that asked where he was and how he was over the past few years when I lost my second man and brass cleaner.Ed will live on in spirit at future Fraserburgh rallies.
  18. Thanks Paul and I will look after mum as well as you do....you only get one mum
  19. The first Sunday in June every year Paul a month after the North East Model Farm & Construction Show the first Sunday in May
  20. Thanks Paul and Lynn. My dad had a long and happy life and long retirement and we have many happy memories of him.
